At this price, these cups are a steal because they are lightweight, stylish and affordable. Even more impressive, the friendly and prompt customer service I received. A few of my eight cups were not perfect (which bothers my squirrel brain), so I contacted the seller and within hours I had talked to a friendly representative and had a replacement set on the way. The reason I bought them is they appear to be solid replacements for similar glasses I have owned that were made by a large company. As a result of accidents over the years, I had broken all of my old coffee mugs (accidents happen). I was down to just two of one size. It was a mismatched 'collection' that needed to be updated. My initial reaction to these glasses was that I was pleasantly surprised by their quality As a result, these glasses sit flat since there isn't a soft rubber plug in the bottom like you see in similar products from other manufacturers I found the glass to be perfectly shaped. The appearance of anomalies, imperfections, thin and fragile body parts or uneven surfaces should be avoided. I washed them before using them, and one slipped from my wet fingers and bounced on its side, rolling around the sink until it was retrieved- The glass does not have chips or cracks. Keep in mind that borosilicate glass can also break, so keep that in mind. The glass might be able to handle temperature changes better than regular glass, but it is still brittle. The style glass I'm referring to has been a favorite of mine for over 10 years. They are made by Bodum originally with plastic pressure insert caps at the bottom to prevent pressure changes from cracking. From what I understand, heat can cause them to crack in the dishwasher. When washing these, I set them aside last so they can be washed by hand, and never pile anything to dry on top of them. I also don't keep them on wobbly surfaces since their rounded shape and lower center of gravity make them prone to tipping. They are ideal for seated table settings, particularly if you are conversing, as the ice will last in your beverage for up to four hours if you drink slowly. Additionally, the glass is not likely to sweat condensation, and it looks crystal clear like a wine glass. It is not recommended to pour scalding hot water for tea or coffee straight into them, however, as I recall a past set that I had cracked due to the pressure and difference in heat. As a routine, I used to pay what these were and get half it's good that alternative brands have made it cheaper and I now have three spares with the price I was ready to pay for two.

Reviews suggested they were fragile, leaking, or got too hot to hold. This left us unnerved, and we were a bit cautious about purchasing them. Our family has been using these for almost a month, and I am totally enamored with them. While they don't get too hot to hold, the glass is incredibly thin, and I can absolutely imagine that it could break if they were badly handled but since we are very careful with them and we don't break them too frequently, they are working for us. There is no leakage in any of ours. We haven't had any problems with ours, but I'm not sure if they simply got a bad batch. The 8oz ones from this website were EXACTLY what I was looking for, and I will definitely order the 16oz ones when I find them in stock. This book is HIGHLY recommended!.

Is it defective? It was love at first sight when I first saw these glasses, however after putting them in the top rack of my dishwasher the walls are soaked, and there is no way to dry the glasses.

Although I had high expectations considering all of the great reviews, I did not obtain what I expected. In two of my mugs, there is a sandlike film inside the cup that won't wash off, and there is rust-colored staining between the walls of the cup. There is almost no difference in the feel of the glass between it and plastic, which is not at all what I had in mind. I plan to return.

I really like these and they are these glasses we use every single day for coffee, espresso, tea, etc. Just make sure to check your glasses when you get them The quality of these shoes is so good that I would not hesitate to buy them again if I had the money.
