As a meat cutter, I stand by my opinion. Their affordability, ability to sharpen when necessary, and ability to eliminate rust make them excellent knives. In an attempt to replace an old Forschner knife that had been misplaced, I bought this. As for the size, I did not pay much attention. This particular knife is a great object to have in my scabbard. The size of the knife makes it not suitable for practical use for daily tasks in my field, but it was a reasonable and well-packaged knife.
As a curse issued by the knife gods, I would only be allowed to own three knives. This would be one of them, along with a chef's knife and bread knife, and all three would be Victorinox knives The tool is bigger than a paring knife and has the shape of a paring knife. This knife is called a Rabbit knife for some reason. I'm not sure why. Are rabbits used to skin and dress rabbits, or do they do your cutting tasks? For those of you who are vegetarians, I suggest you contemplate the "hare" There's something about that possibility that scares me. This knife can accomplish many of the tasks that a paring knife would normally be able to accomplish Job duties that a parer might not be able to perform. I can use it to cut a whole chicken into 8 pieces and even you can use it to cut a whole turkey into 8 pieces Breastbones are essential for breast health. In this small device, the stem of a tomato can be removed and thin cuts can be made. Despite only being 4 inches long, the blade is thick Tomatoes that are large will be harder to slice evenly since they are larger than an inch. However, the handles are somewhat ugly. If you're the sort of person who is all about function over form, you'll enjoy the handles.
It has been my absolute pleasure over the past few months to work with Victorinox Knives of varying lengths and purpose. It does not matter whether I use the knives or not, the quality of construction remains constant. My previous post referred to the possibility of buying and using a potential steak knife candidate for our new set. Taking part in the steak knife race today is a simple, 4" utility knife. Today's blade is slightly stiffer than yesterday's and is not quite as flexible. I thought it was tough enough to cut meat, but otherwise it didn't pass my tests Food products cut into pieces. When I need to sharpen them, it is very easy to do with the hand sharpener. I have other Victorinox products, and they keep their sharpness. Then I noticed in my knife storage places that there is an assortment of some very nice knives that look nice and another set of knives that we actually use to cut meat or vegetables. There are few useful knives among the nice ones they are mostly for show, not for use The Victorinox knives are reliable work horses, but they aren't necessarily easy to use. A single maker of a nice looking work horse is something we will choose with vigor if one is found.
Although I did not expect this knife to be of such great use, it has turned out to be a valuable tool. "Rabbit knife" is not one of the reasons in my knife collection for its popularity, but it certainly fills a niche The blade is short and pointed and the handle is large. best used when you need lots of pressure and prefer to use more of a stabbing motion to slice things. Due to the recommendation of America's Test Kitchen, I chose Forschner Fibrox. I have been lucky enough to receive every recommendation that they have made that has been every bit as good as they claimed (and the recipes are great). There is no exception to this rule with this knife. The Global knives I use in my kitchen are also of good quality, so I think I can talk about them. I have only had it a few weeks, but even with a lot of use it remains very sharp. This knife will ultimately prove how great it is, based on how it performs in the future and how well it resharpens.
In my discussions with Amazon, they explained that this was just a Swiss model number. There's nothing better than a good knife itself. The knife is really sharp, made from excellent steel, holds its edge very well, and has a perfect size for most common tasks. The knife is helpful for cutting fruits, peeling, opening boxes, and basically anything else I need to do. Moreover, I have a Chef knife 8" long, which I use to make salads and to I am sure that you will be happy with your.
I use it whenever my 10" blade is too big, which is a lot.
You will use it as your "go to" everyday knife for all types of food. Most of the time I use it for fresh fruits and vegetables rather than for meat. I've used it every morning for the past two weeks and have not had to re-load it In 2 years, the blade will sharpen. Blade is fatter than a paring knife, which gives it a great deal of strength (less likely to break Fibrox handles are so easy to grip that they are same size as a chef's knife, so they are easy to grip for most hand sizes and do not It is hard to beat Victorinox Fibrox knives for quality and price, if you don't want to waste your money on more expensive models.
A much better blade than Hinckle. It holds an edge longer, is built better, and is more controllable. Wet hands love the non-slip texture of this handle.
