There is a matching plastic sheath for this knife. The blade is very sharp as well. Since it has serrations, I don't know how easily it could be sharpened if it dulled, but after about a year of use it still looks like new. Though the handle is made of hard plastic, I find that it feels very good in the hand and is of good quality.
