The bowl's asymmetrical design gives it a more modern appearance. In the kitchen, it looks fantastic. You can remove the bowl and turn it to any angle you want. If desired, it can be used on its own. It not only serves a purpose, but it also looks great.
I can't think of anything I don't like about this product. br>I really like the stability and capacity. Even if the bowl is removed and the bananas are dangling, it will not tip. br>It has replaced my "candy" bowl in my kitchen. br>If you like having fruit on hand for a quick snack, I recommend this product. I prefer to wash my fruit first and let it dry before putting it in the bowl, which takes a little longer at first but saves time and hassle in the long run. In addition, your fruit will be preserved for a longer period of time. I use vinegar, which is particularly effective at removing wax from apples. It's extremely simple to clean. br> I usually just use a damp cloth to clean out the bowl and the rack. It's a sturdy wire frame hook with a bowl (separate item) made of the typical cheap plastic-type material. I don't need anything fancy to hold fruit and hang bananas, and every part is sturdy and does the job. Just keep in mind that bananas and apples both produce a chemical that accelerates the ripening of fruit around them, so don't leave your fruit in this bowl for too long or you'll end up with a mess (I learned the hard way).
This is a very well-made product, and I appreciate how well it organized my counter. The bamboo basket is extremely attractive and well-made. It has a lot of fruit on it. The metal is sturdy and holds up well even when a large number of bananas are hung from it. It was a well-made product at a reasonable price, and it arrived safely packaged and undamaged. It arrived sooner than expected as well.
Love it! I'm glad I got it because it's even better in person. I expected a small bowl based on the reviews, but the bowl is quite large. I like that you can use it with or without the bowl. The banana stand is very sturdy and can hold quite a few bananas. You can also turn the bowl sideways to create a completely different look; I read that one person does so. Another nice touch is that they include felt stickers for the bottom of the wire rack, which come in their own little bag so you can place them on the bottom of the wire rack without worrying about scratching your surface. I'm very pleased with it! I'm glad I didn't skimp on this one because it's fantastic.
This fruit bowl is lovely. The wood has a lovely grain and is very smooth. I like the two banana hooks on top—we had a bunch of red and yellow bananas the other day, and it was nice to have somewhere to hang them both. br>br>Another feature I enjoy is that the bowl and hanger are separate. It allows you to add fruit without having to place the entire container on your counter.
This fruit bowl is one of my favorites. The asymmetric bamboo bowl and metal criss-cross pattern are both unique. This utilitarian fruit bowl has been transformed into a work of art by the addition of a cross banana stand. I was about to buy an expensive wire-type bowl when I realized the wire could easily damage/bruise fruit. This fruit bowl was a little more expensive than others, but when you consider its beauty and how long we'll have it, the extra $15 is well worth it. This would be an excellent present!.
It has a nice appearance, but it appears to be easily damaged! The original bowl had a huge, deep disfiguring gash on it, so I just got a replacement! This one, too, has a scratch across it, though it is smaller and shallower. I'm thinking this could happen during packing. br>I can only justify buying damaged items like this at subsidized sale prices, so I'll have to return it.
