I did buy the set you can see on the photo as the blades had the Global logo.
I love this set. It has a knife and a fork. Since I've been using them for over 15 years, I haven't had to sharpen them once!

To be honest, I had very high expectations going into As I was doing some research, I sought out some great knives worthy of the kitchen of any chef, and I settled for Global knives. The blades of this set were not impressively sharp right out of the box, even though I know it's not the top of the line set. Other comments stated that you don't need to sharpen the knives for quite a while, but my knives came dull and the company recommended only using a ceramic whetstone (that I was going to buy in a few months when the knives got blunt). I guess my expectations were higher than they should have been, but I've owned plenty of inferior knives, but they were easily sharpened and worked just fine. I wanted to get some really great knives for making dinner every night, and these did not justify the price. Although the weight and hold of them feel good, the sharpness factor is why I chose them, and they do not live up to the mark.
After receiving my knives a week ago, I have used two of them and have taken care of them. I have wanted Global knives for ages, but never managed to buy them until now. I was surprised that the one I have not used is showing signs of rust even though it is claimed to be stainless steel. It was a very disappointing purchase for me.
There's just no way these knives can live up to the quality I'm used to. As a result of my extensive research, I found the Global 3 pc Kitchen Knife Set to be the best set of professional knives in this price range. When the paring knife broke in half after about a month, I had them. A knife blade stayed in the salami when it hit a cutting board and the handle stayed in my hand as I cut through the thin salami. Shock! It was supposed to be a professional knife that would last for a long time. I am searching for a way to return them all, I have lost confidence in my ability. They want me to ship it to them on my own dime and in six weeks, they'll send me a replacement that may or may not be the same as my original.
