The number of strips I need is four six-inch Would a chop saw be able to cut this?

I suppose it could be cut, but a Chop Saw probably isn't the best tool for the job. Plastic tubing is used on this unit with a magnet running the length of it. To be able to cut smoothly through thin plastic without shredding it and to be able to cut through magnets is a challenge. Too much power could be a problem with the Chop Saw.
