After buying this knife three months ago, I have been keeping it in my safe for at least three months. I have an EDC addiction, so I frequently switch between Benchmades, Kershaws, and other blades of similar quality. After buying a new Griptillian, I put my Kershaw Skyline away three months ago. Sharpening, cleaning, and lubricating the blade with Citadel were my steps in sharpening the Skyline. On inspection today, both the blade and the oil are still in good condition. As far as I can see, there are no hard coatings or issues. The knives I have stored properly are in a dry, locked drawer (e. I keep my safes in their original packaging with desiccant bags), but the one in my pocket gets beat up to heck. In the past, I have not experienced any problems with regular oiling of that as well as my Khukuri's (which are not stainless, leaf spring steel). Having said that, the only part of the process I am concerned with is the rust protection. However, it is still essential that you be extremely careful of what you put in your mouth In humid environments, stainless steel is not suitable. It is okay to treat knives like tools. You just have to treat them like tools. As a matter of fact, Citadel Black has helped me take care of my knives better than I ever have. If they had a sponsor, they'd get a lot more attention The gear I wear. It would be great to own a hoodie or a shirt. Love their product. *br> *br>A few times, I got some of this stuff in my mouth, and I had no adverse effects.
Thank you for reaching out. The full ingredients are at the top of the Finished white mineral oil is used along with cold pressed camellia seed oil in food preparation.
Having said that, I have gotten it on G10, Carbon Fiber and Natural Rubber without any It darkens when in contact with wood, and on surfaces like metal, it acts like an The dulling on anodized titanium caused the biggest problem, but it cleaned off easily
It isn't my place to know that. The knives I use for fishing are not good ones. The knives I use on the table are those of my wife. To take care of my expensive knives, I use Citadel Oil. One of my grandson's bottles was given to him. A dood oil is what this is. Your knives will be really clean after using it.

The package in which the oil was delivered caught my attention immediately. I saw in the presentation they put effort into the presentation and it makes a huge difference to me when a company is concerned about their product. Having a sense of satisfaction when actually applying the oil to my expensive knives, I was confident that I was using the best oil. There was a delusion in my mind. After finishing three knives, I opened the bottle and closed the cap, but the cap popped when I tightened it. When a plastic cap is cracked, it makes a popping sound. This has been so easy. I am not sure how I managed to crack it so easily. What did I do wrong- not asking for help- Does it need to be tightened? Did it crack in transit?" "Could it have cracked in transit?" The second time I tried, it popped up. It was tightened to the point just before it pops, and I kept an eye out for It did not have a screw, and the cap popped on its own (without any additional tightening). After that, I noticed that the cap did not go on straight when I screwed it on. While I tried twisting it many ways to try and align it, I was not successful.
I was disappointed after my efforts. A product that seemed to be high quality turned out to be nothing more than a superficial one. It's almost as if they put just enough effort into the presentation to justify the price of an average product. Considering that the only thing the company sells that's even remotely worth the price is their product. In the same vein, there is a Zombie Apocalypse survival kit. The simplest form of this oil, which is advertised as "the ideal blend", is not something I believe can be produced. However, it is possible that the creator of the product has the necessary knife experience to create something better than The truth is, I do not know for sure if that is true or not, as I'm fairly new to the world of knife collecting. The man, who had no idea how to swim, jumped into the deep end The more I learn, the better I get. What I do know, though, is that this will not fit in my kit as is. Due to my knife tool roll not being vertical, I cannot carry it. Quite honestly, I wouldn't leave it in my suitcase, not even for sharpening my mother's kitchen knives on a short trip. There is no doubt that this bottle will Consequently, it sits vertically on a shelf, standing out as they intended, bothering me as it stands out. Getting a hard pass requires a lot of efforts. If you want to do something else, I highly recommend it. Delete these files from your uncrate We are Black Creek Mercantile & Supply Company The Knife and Fork Trading Co. We're talking Blade Oil here. A little bit of that company's product line has to do with knives and chefs. The next thing I will do is try to demonstrate my drive / pursuit to improve my craft.
The oil in mine was about a quarter inch full when it arrived today. There was a problem with the dropper cap—it wasn't fully screwed on. The only thing I hope I won't have to do is return the empty bottle to get my money back or get a replacement full bottle. A quick update As soon as Citidel Black found out about this issue, they resolved it and told me they would look into the matter. There is a lot to like about the product itself. Having used up most of the coating in the bottle, I applied it to my blade steels and it left a nice, thin coating. It's easy to wash off my hands and metal scales as well. I didn't find it left any residue in my jeans pocket from my oiled EDC. It washes off easily as well. The dropper cap is a five star product, I truly believe, when it operates as it is supposed to. A great job was also done on the packaging. If this problem can be resolved, I'll return for more as soon as it seems to have been resolved. The following is an update to the previous update Despite my initial hesitation, I returned to find out There was evidently some spillage in the warehouse, but it seems the problem has been resolved by clearing out defective caps or whatever was causing the issues. There is a good chance that this will be the one I use From now on I will be protecting blade steel. As you can see, I have a few D2 blades in the Midwest. I intend to update my review after spending several weeks fishing with my oiled D2 knives on the boat and on the bank. The latest update is as follows There is nothing fake about this. Even after a whole summer of fishing, I haven't seen a speck of corrosion on any of my less corrosion-resistant blades.
In my previous review, I wrote about another kind of food that is cheaper--- Visit my page to find out more about mineral oil that is safe. moved a few months ago, and I thought I had lost my other mineral oil when all the moving chaos happened. However, before I found the old one, I bought Citadel Black Knife Oil. Now that I have found the old one, I use it on knives and other tools. Right off the bat, I have to say that the payment was well worth it. In what way? There is no difference between it and normal mineral oil except for the fact that it leaves a thinner and longer-lasting film A coat with a long lifespan. In fact, even if you leave the tools you coat with it out in the dew for a few days, it keeps moisture away. With a soft cloth used to wipe off an excess amount of oil, you can actually see a thin layer of quality oil all over the metal surface when you turn the knife or tool towards the light. Citadel Black is apparently not meant to be applied to wood, which is why I've switched to using my other mineral oil on my knife handles instead. According to the other reviews I've read, most people don't have any problems when they use it on wood, but there must be a reason why they weren't able to use it on Additionally, since the oil spreads so thin, two drops are sufficient to coat a large knife and it stays on it in a thin layer after the knife has been stored in a leather sheath as well. One last thought I'm also a fan of the thick glass container Citadel Black comes in. There is little risk of it breaking, it is sturdy, and I wouldn't worry too much about A very useful feature of the lid is that it is a glass dropper, so you don't have to worry about spilling oil or using too much. In addition to purchasing this again when the bottle runs out, I will also purchase another one.
