The only thing I want to mention is my initial impressions and thoughts about this knife. My favorite tools are those that are well built. must use them to earn a living, so I have learned to use the best tool for the job at hand. Rather than using it primarily for prep tasks and chopping, my intent was to use it for a variety of different When it's time to chop up vegetables, the flat blade will be perfect for scooping them up, transferring them, or slicing them in perfect ribbons or coins. This is theoretically true. It might do the job, but the weight makes me think this knife is more of a cleaver than anything else. This is heavy, and I could see someone (me) easily becoming fatigued if there is a lot of prep. Though the proportions and balance of this knife seem off, it's what really drives me bonkers. If it actually looked like a large rectangular cleaver, then the heft would make sense. This knife is used for delicate tasks such as coring and cutting tomatoes or garlic cloves. It can also be used to slice cucumbers. It has a tapered point, which makes it perfect for crushing or chopping tomatoes into small dice. In spite of its heft, though, it doesn't seem confident in scoring and slicing. Furthermore, it is unable to kill an already dead chicken thigh with its teeth. I would like to borrow the handle if it were another 1/2" longer for my size XL mitts. Also, the thick, heavy blade makes it very front heavy, which is good if you carry weight along when cutting. You won't be able to slice and dice with ease or balance if you use it. The ability to work for results is the result of the program. Then what I wanted was not available to me. My goal is to work with a willing partner in a tool, not one who needs to be stubbornly dragged to the next Considering the price, I figured I'd give it a try, but I will spend a bit more on a more refined blade with a better overall balance for chops and prep tasks, and leave this one to cleave. This would be the perfect tool for someone with medium sized hands if they were doing that task.

It's a really good knife but it's rusted. Bought this on Cyber Monday and it's really good, but the blade It is not worth buying. I take good care of my stuff and this knife has rust. I don't recommend.
