This may not be the best choice for young kids, but I'd still buy it It is very sturdy to use these carving kits

You can definitely use them more if you're an adult or older kid. The 6 year old goddaughter I have was not able to do it all alone without help from us. In order to take full advantage of the stencils, you should hammer them in. Other than that, it was easy to use and I would buy it.
