I received mine in good condition. Because of my ADHD thinking outside of the box crazy problem solving, I used this knife holder for a very unusual purpose. I used shorter screws that were slightly larger than the supplied ones since the plywood veneer was 1/4" thick. In considering glue or doublesided tape, I finally decided that screws were the most secure option. By attaching the metal plate to the wall, then sticking the magnet on it, and ultimately hooking the knives on the magnet, it's as simple as that.
