Questions & Answers

Are there magazines for guns that can be stored in this?

I think so, provided the magazines don't have any coated metal in them. It would also be necessary for the magazines to have flat sides. There are magnetic strips at the top and bottom of the device, which means you would need to make contact with both strips to keep it firmly in place.

Can you tell me what the green plastic things are? The anchors look like they are supposed to be drywall anchors, but it does not appear that they will expand as ?

Although they look like they're not anchors, they are. It was suggested by some that they be replaced with better versions, but we had no problems with them.

When the mounting holes are spaced apart, how far apart are they?

On the rack there are no mounting holes. The rack has a slot/channel that runs the length of the rack and allows the screw head to slide over it. In order to install the rack, you need to drill holes about 1/2" in from where each end of the rack will point, but you don't have to be exact. You remove the white plastic end caps, slide one of them over the screw, then slide the other over the screw. As I don't have much strength in my right hand, I found it helpful to use a rubber mallet to tap in the second end cap, holding the opposite end The gap between the two sides was closed.

As a result of moving, I need to mount my Norpro again. In order to attach the knives to the knife bar, what type of adhesive and strength should I use?

My first step in mounting the film was to clean the surface of the film To mount the black plastic ends, I used triple-stick mounting tape from 3M, then stacked a hundred 1 inch piece of double-stick tape on each end of the length until the stack exceeded the end tapes. It is essential that they are even in order to maintain an In order to install the whole assembly, I used a pencil and a level, then marked the level line out of the pencil. That is why it is important (otherwise, it will fall apart. Aluminum foil tape was used. Measure the length of the tape on the aluminum bar and cut it according. The backing should be peeled off and the tape should be applied to the bar and the mounting surface equally. There is a top and a Immediately press into place, smoothing with your finger along the joint and lightly scraping on the hard surfaces with a plastic spatula or credit card. In this case, the tape is the same color as the bar, and as long as it is mounted at the same level as the bar, it appears as if it's all part of the same I had to use aluminum tape before it would stay on. However, now that it has been up a year, it can even hold Wishing you the best of luck!

The quality is good
5/5

The installation is easy. In reading some reviews, I was slightly hesitant to order this since some reviewers claimed it was problematic to set up properly. wasn't sure how sturdy this knife rack would be, but I decided to order it anyhow. Now, here's how NOT to have a wobbly knife rack (and Norpro should be held responsible for not including any instructions) Come out of the black plastic parts that eventually hold the screws at each end. It is true that they slide out from behind In order to replace that magnetic bar, you need to remove those plastic end pieces, measure the correct distance, screw the screws into the wall, slide those plastic pieces around the screws, and snap the magnetic bar back into place. That's what I ended up doing, and the bar is perfectly mounted on the wall now- The table is very solid and not at all wobbly. In terms of the product itself, it is nice and heavy, and the length is great. It is a fantastic product which I would buy.

It is great to have a If you want to mount to tile or another hard surface, you can do so
5/5

Check out the rest of the article. I bought this knife holder in 2015 and have just now gotten around to installing it. What is the reason for this? Installing it didn't appeal to me because I didn't think drilling through my tile backsplash would be a good idea. This sat there for a long time. In fact, I didn't know it existed until I was browsing the Sugru glue website a few days ago, and saw that Sugru could be used to mount things in the shower, Surely, if Sugru can hold something like that to tile, maybe it can hold the knife bar as well. As part of my inquiry, I included a link to the Amazon page for Sugru Customer Service and asked if the Sugru could be used to mount the Norpro knife bar. Customer service at Sugru, Katie, looked at the link I sent, checked up on the specs, and replied back. She told me that Sugru can hold a maximum of 4 pounds and would be perfect for the job. In the end, I gave it a go. NOTES ON MOUNTING As soon as I put the Norpro on the wall, leveled it, and used my pencil to mark where the knife holder should be, I began putting it together. Using the Sugru, I then put out a thin layer of it over the tile (sort of like a primer) and then covered the backs of the black brackets that came with the Norpro with a fairly thick layer of it (1/8"). Using the template I had drawn on the wall, I mounted the brackets to the wall, being careful to follow the template. Painter's tape was used to keep the brackets attached to the wall while they dried. I know that is not necessary, but there is no harm in asking. After 24 hours, the glue had dried, allowing the plastic mounting brackets to adhere strongly to the wall tile. I then fed one end of the Norpro knife bar onto one of the mounting brackets and worked the other end of the knife holder into place using a rubber mallet. I like it a lot! If you have some Sugru, there is no need to drill into tile to mount this knife holder!
As far as the FISMA contract is concerned, With our knives on it, it looks lovely on my kitchen backsplash, and it has removed the big knife block that we had on A win-win situation!.

The design is poor and the stability is poor
3/5

There is no use for this knife magnet, it is feeble. The walls seem wobbly due to the mounting attachments, and I agree with those who complained. - It's the design that causes the problem Instead of bolts through pre-drilled holes, attaching devices are mounted on the back Front and back of the strip were drilled with holes. Even after multiple clamps are adjusted and the screws are adjusted again, removing a heavy wide-size Wusthof chef's knife causes the other to wobble and the boning knife to fall. There are numerous magnets that I've installed in my previous homes (with screws through the front of the magnets into the wall) that can't be moved by a tsunami. The RSVP Endurance Stainless Steel Magnetic Knife Holder I returned has been replaced with one of a similar size For a couple of dollars more you can get front mounting screws. It's a sure thing that I will be glad.

A magnetic knife holder that is solid
5/5

Everything it does is as it should be Make sure knives are held My 18 inch one is better than a shorter one, because it leaves enough space between the knives. The magnets are strong enough to hold the knives securely, but they also make it easy to take them off the holder without damaging them. The next best thing to a top-notch performance Holder received a "D" from American's Test Kitchen for being difficult to install, but it is rated otherwise. It is my opinion that is incorrect. It takes two minutes to put two holes in the ground and level them. If you are using wall anchors, then you need to adjust how much the screws are turned in so getting a snug fit against the wall is easy. From unboxing to hanging my knives, it took me ten minutes.

Ends of the bar are easily detached from each other and drop to the ground
3/5

The bars are installed into my drywall with two screws mounted at a perfect 17" interval, and I removed the black ends to slide the bars in. With the screw tightened to the point where I had no wiggle room, I was able to secure it with no wiggle. As soon as I got my knives up, I put 2 chefs, 2 smaller knives, kitchen shears, and a Chinese cleaver on display. I must have had a slight horizontal motion after pulling off the heavier knife so one of the black ends popped off, dumping the entire block into the oven with my precious Wusthof, along with it. As a result of the "V" shape of the black ends wedging against the screws, the knife is prone to any horizontal motion when removed When I did things fast in the kitchen) I sliced off an inch of toe with my super sharp knife and I'm lucky. Don't do it! Don't do it!.

This magnetic bar is excellent for utility
5/5

Along with knife use, this magnetic knife bar can be used for a variety of other purposes as well. The exposed magnets of this bar made me choose it over the sleeker more decorative stainless steel bar because I thought they would be stronger than covered magnets. My dog grooming table needed an easy way to keep scissors and stripping knives on hand. I found just the thing to hang over it. powerful magnets keep everything in place, and stop scissors from being pushed to their deaths. This bar would work equally well for hanging tools in an office. The two screws included in the package make installation easy, and it also includes two This is the best knife bar I have ever seen. If I were to put a knife bar in my kitchen, I would choose the sleeker looking one, but this one is the best utility bar I've ever seen.

Stainless steel knife bar made of magnetic material
5/5

It is hanging and full of knives, and I absolutely love it. I received my order about an hour ago. A similar one was in our home a few years ago, and I was only thinking about losing it when I moved into a small Due to my reading the reviews, I was able to get it up on the wall within a couple of minutes. The black end caps come off making mounting it a breeze. In my opinion, this item deserves to be recommended. By the way, I am 78 years old and on oxygen. I think anyone can do it if I can do it.
