I think this bag would be a better choice for a culinary student than for Please don't get me wrong, it's not that it's a bad bag, but for the size, This is the third knife bag I have owned and I had the noble knife bag before this one. My dog chewed off the zippers on the previous one. The bag was given to me by one of my chefs and he liked it a lot, so I decided I would try it. According to the reviews it was described as a backpack, so I believed it would be the perfect choice for me since I need to bring a backpack to work every day as well as a laptop, binder, and other items. Although I realized right away that it was not going to be useful as a backpack, I still decided to give it a go. I had no problem fitting most of my knives in it, but storing one of my knives and my steel was a bit challenging. It has the sai on it. I have the 12 inch shun brisket knife. It barely fits the sai unless you tuck it in or lean it a tiny bit to the side. Moreover, I have the Fdick Multi Diamond Steel, which will fit into the steel sleeve but is hardly able to be fastened by the zipper. The moment I realized that only a few pens and a marker fit after all the knives were in, I was devastated. There is no padding in the back of the laptop bag, and the zipper, which should hold the tablet or laptop, is small and made of nylon. Even though I can fit an 11 inch laptop there, due to how tiny the space is, I worry that it will be In terms of the price, it might not be worth it to keep the bag after trying it out for a few weeks. Chefpak, you may wish to rethink the way your bag is set up after reading this. It might be better to make the zipper be larger and unzip on all 3 sides of the bag. The straps may also be attached to the top of the bag rather than the back, instead of the small zipper. Using this method, you can actually put something in the back for a little office work, or at least be able to place a binder in the back, The truth is, I really wish someone had made a tactical Molle knife bag similar to the ones from the military.
The bag I have is the best in its class - it has a large capacity, is durable and sturdy, and takes a lot of abuse.
When it comes to more than just a few knives and tools, finding a good solution is virtually impossible. Including the sharpening kit and all the knives I own, this bag is able to hold 16 knives and other utensils. This pack is pretty good, but I would prefer it if it were built better in terms of the quality of materials used. The material on straps is not made to last a lifetime of abuse either nor will the nylon mesh inside of the pack. This bag has many useful features despite its less durable features and if you are looking for something that can hold everything you need in the kitchen, it's a great budget choice. I hope that chef sac continues to improve their products, like having leather on the outside as well as the inside.
It is very stylish as well as very comfortable due to the straps. Put as little strain on your back & legs as possible Whenever I carry something, I carry it on my shoulders. Although the zippers are of low quality (the rest of the bag is fine), they are somewhat annoying. I would strongly advise upgrading the zippers on the bags. The center of the door opens when it is closed.
I love this pack because it is so compact, but one weakness is the Velcro's inability to adequately secure knives. There was a problem with one of the zippers busting on the bag and I notified the Company about this. They promptly replaced the bag free of charge after we sent them photos of the In less than four days, I got a replacement It's been a total blast for 5 days.
It has a lot of room. I am pleased. It's great to have a backpack. The hotel did not disappoint me in any way. You can store all your knives and other tools in it. It uses a canvas that is of high quality and will not wrinkle or wear down quickly. There is room in the front pockets for a moderately sized tablet or notebook. The cutlery and kitchen tools aren't cheap but it would be worth the money if you were going to regularly take them with you when you traveled. It is recommended.
There are a lot of spaces and they've been thoughtfully organized. There is only one problem I can find with this material. It picks up a lot of rub "fur". The rest of it is worth every penny.
