I say this with respect for the manufacturer This is an excellent specialty knife at a reasonable price. In the case of a professional sushi chef, you will probably spend more on a different knife. For a home cook trying to make sushi sometimes, you won't find a knife that matches this quality. Besides the knife being packaged nicely in a box with a magnet for closure, the box is also durable. comes in a gorgeous box and is very sharp right out of the box. Having said that, I feel that I need to point out that this is not an everyday knife. If you're going to have only one knife in your kitchen, I would make an investment in a high-quality model This is a specialist knife that fills a niche. As I said above, it is of high quality. You may be disappointed if you venture outside that niche. The good news is that at this price point, it is an excellent value and worth trying, no matter whether you intend to dabble in sushi making or not. In general, I would recommend this product. I wish you all the best with your.
After doing some research, I decided to order the Lucky Cook Sashimi Sushi 10-pack This knife measures 6 inches and I am impressed with its performance and quality. As part of the package, it comes in a box I use when I store it, as well as a knife protector tip cover which I use both for the safety of the chef and to protect both the blade tip and the box. The item is also engraved with a unique serial number, as previously mentioned. In my own sushi making experience, I have sliced a total of six sushi rolls with this knife, and it has cut smoothly through the roll with standard sushi chef advice such as keeping the blade slightly damp between moves. I imagine it will work for cutting vegetables and meats as well. In my opinion, this is a very good selection for the price.
I bought it after seeing a Japanese man in the news slicing tuna in just a few seconds. My tuna fishing trip was right on time because I received the order before my We caught several nice tuna and whipped out this beast of a knife. We realized very quickly that the man on TV was far more proficient with the knife than we are. I do not blame the knife, it just takes some getting used to having a blade with only a beveled edge on one side of it. It tends to dig into a bone instead of floating over it. When used as intended, I was very impressed with its ability to slice and dice fish, and it worked quite well on vegetables as well. Packaged well and sharp, the knife arrived on time. As an additional investment, I recommend buying a blade cover that is 12 inches in length and 2 1/2 inches deep. This is a very front heavy knife due to the length and thickness of the spline, but the handle is very comfortable in my hand. I wouldn't recommend more than one bevel knife since they don't work for everything, but for sushi I think this one is great.
It was a wonderful experience! My understanding of the importance of having the right equipment after watching many videos about sushi-making has been greatly enhanced following the exposure to the subject. I was very impressed by the beautifully boxed Lucky Cook knife. It is very sharp and well balanced and got the job done quickly. The knife made the task of mincing the tuna a breeze, especially when I was making spicy tuna rolls. The minced tuna pieces were so finely minced in a short time that it took so little effort. I was easily able to roll sushi with this knife and it was essentially effortless to cut bite-sized pieces from the rolls with it. Cutting through these rolls was made very easy with the length and sharpness of this knife. With the weight of the knife alone, as well as the finely honed edge, drawing the blade through the sushi was quick and precise. As someone who is just learning how to make sushi, I can honestly say that this knife made what seemed to be an intimidating process into one that has been very satisfying and delicious! I think that having the right tools for the task is of utmost importance and with regard to the preparation of sushi, you will certainly not be disappointed with purchasing Lucky Cook sushi knives.
For the price, this is an excellent tool. It has a very good bevel. It had a slight problem with the grind in one area. There is a problem with the tip of the knife as well. A very square, rough spine separates the blade from the handle. Despite the blade's somewhat sharpness, I suggest sharpening it if you want an edge that stays consistent. (Degrees of sharpness vary from part to part. You'll be able to create a great knife with this with a little TLC. Sand the tip to maintain the smooth profile. I have not experienced any issues with cutting due to the small issue on the grind. I may shape the spine a little bit for comfort (this isn't really a knife you ever need to push down on the spine), but I would think the quality of this knife is sufficient for an entry level into sushi.
The package arrived in record time. In its blade, the knife has a really exceptional blade that was created for the preparation of sushi and sashimi. This is a work tool I recommend for professional use. I like the knife box very much, and it's a perfect place to store it.
A number of reviews mentioned that this knife was very sharp. Though I almost passed on it due to the low price, I decided that it was worth a chance. As a result of taking a chance, I am able to attest that this knife is straight-cut and of excellent quality You can cut things with razor sharpness. A piece of sashimi slides right through it. Though it's capable of making paper thin slices, we prefer ours to be The following caveats should be noted A blade like this won't hold up to the weight of bones or It is obvious that this knife was never intended to be used for that purpose. It has also not been sharpened for enough time for me to determine how often it needs to be done. It is my assumption that with weekly use or more frequent use you will need to tend to it at least In the future, I'll buy some more stones for when I work on my honed knives, and you can include some with your purchase if you don't already have any. I should add, this knife is definitely not intended to be cleaned in the.
