NO! That is not a wok! A pan that runs on electricity is all it is. It has a flat area at the bottom about 6 inches wide that is not round on the inside. This is not what I wanted!.
Although that is the case, it has proved challenging to find a contraption which can get hot enough and maintain a high temperature adequate to prepare fried rice and noodles. We had a problem with most pans warping, or our outside griddle could only be used during the warm There is a lot to be learned from this work. It has only been a few minutes, but it has heated quickly and has put a beautiful char on the rice while it has kept it sizzling and hopping around. There was no sticking when it came time to clean up. There is a good chance I will use it every few weeks. Tossing veggies over the edge is not an issue due to the size. As an initial evaluation, we are very pleased and look forward to using this device for many years to come. It is important that you read the manual before you make a purchase. There's a huge difference in the temp between an electric fry pan and a stovetop pan. As this is a work area, the temperature will run higher if needed. As I read the instructions, I noticed the unit has to always be in the off position regardless of how I turn it on. As a whole, it is a five-star meal and I look forward to a happy winter full of Asian food!.
This is the electric wok I bought to be able to fry tempura at a high temperature. Adding hot oil to it also made me feel that it would be more stable than my wok on the stove. As a result of it's flat bottom, it is not considered a true wok, but it serves my purposes. Cooked the oil to the desired temperature very quickly and kept it at that temperature the whole way through. There are many recipes I will use this for. You can also use it to prepare basic stir fries. In any case, if you're looking for a true wok, this would not work for a recipe that requires cooking different things at once, and pushing them out one by one to the side to cook others. As the bottom is flat, there is not enough slope to enable this.
Obviously, I do not dislike anything about the wok. I usually prepare stir frys of vegetables, A quick heat up and good performance are its main characteristics. You can adjust the temperature of the container to "hold" the contents. As long as you wash with soap and water, rinse, and dry by hand, cleaning up is remarkably easy.
I used this product to prepare pheasant fried rice for a family meal that included seven adults during the 2018 Holiday Season. I am not sure how well the product is designed to handle fried rice and all ingredients for a family meal of seven adults even though the material appears to last well. As a result of the shape of the wok, ingredients were difficult to move, especially if they simply had to be left aside for a while.
In the past, I have had woks, and was unsure if I wanted to try a new brand. Because of how easy it is to use, how easy it is to clean, and how evenly it distributes heat, I am pleased with this appliance. to that the fact that it is variable heat and I am.
With a flat bottom and high sides, this hat is in great shape. When stir frying, which is what I bought it for, it prevents oil splatters and is the perfect tool for making soups, pho, squash, and other dishes. It is as deep as it is wide. It can be used to cook scrambled eggs, just like an electric skillet. It would have been easier for me to see the temperature on the dial versus the low, medium, and high settings. It's not a super-large space for storing things.
