The coating has a temperature range of up to 500° F, making it one of the better Teflon coatings available. The kind of skillet that I use only has a base made of aluminum. Only my initial impression and use were taken into consideration when I wrote this review. In the long term, I will update as necessary. When I unboxed the pan, I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. It's thicker than the bottoms of skillets at this price point I am familiar with. Among the items I bought for less than $30, I found a stick skillet. When placed on a burner, the 00 warped and wobbled, causing oil to pool on one side, or deflect away from the center, causing oil to collect around the edges. There are some nice and solid rivets on the handle of this thing. It is thick and robust. The wheels won't budge even when I crank on them a little. Keeping your hands away from the hot burner is nice since this angled burner angles up a bit. As that being said, the skillet is quite a bit larger than most pans you use on your stove (10". It is small in my kitchen and at work, so I often bump into things. Despite its long handle, I cannot dock a star because the pan is so large and heavy that it really needs to be that long, but it still annoys me in some ways. In spite of the inconsistent temperature, the pan was pretty much the same temperature throughout. In order to measure the entire pan, I took measurements from the center out to the edges with a laser thermometer. After removing the pan from the heat 20 minutes later, the pan's temperature was still 98 degrees, which was a little surprising. I am considering purchasing this item. It carries a one-year warranty and if it lasts that long with proper use, I will be delighted. It's been a long time since I had a cheap, non-premium meal I use my non-stick pans for more than a few months before they warp or flake. It would be nice if you could order some silicone utensils to use with this so that you do not damage the non-stick surface There are a lot of adhesive surfaces.

I bought it to replace my old pan that measured 12 inches by 24 inches by 3 inches. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 was that the description said 12x24x3, not I have no idea what the third is, so now I am wondering what the fifth is. About four inches. Did you mean?.
