This pot's function is to cook, steam, and boil foods and other items. The pot is convenient because it is simple to use, clean, and light enough to carry around. The accessories are a nice touch as well. The lid, however, is of poor quality, so I gave the pot two stars. I heard crackling noises coming from the lid as I was using it to boil water. I was perplexed as to what was going on. As I returned to the item to read the customer reviews. This problem, much to my disappointment, was a common one. People who have bought this item like the pot and the accessories, but the lid has caused problems, with many people reporting that the lid exploded on them, causing injury. I was extremely fortunate not to have continued to use the item before reading the reviews. If an item's purpose isn't fulfilled, it isn't useful. The lid must be present in order to steam the food or items in the pot. Without the lid, boiling and cooking will take longer. I'm disappointed because I'll have to figure out where to get another lid that will fit the pot.

I bought it to make pasta, but it isn't very good. Instead of encouraging circulation, the water simply bubbles up between the two pots and overflows, as some other reviewers have stated. Very let down.

I needed a large pot for soups and pasta, and while browsing Amazon, I came across this one. It had a separate steaming basket and a glass lid, which I thought was a nice touch. I was very pleased with the quality of this product when it arrived, and I have since used it and found it to be excellent and easy to clean. This product deserves 5 stars because it will not let you down!.

After her 30-year marriage, my wife decided to buy this. The pasta pan had bubbled and "died" for over a year. It appeals to her. This pan is well worth the money and is exactly what she needed for pasta, chili, steaming vegetables, pierogies, and other dishes. I would strongly suggest it.

Lifting the beans into the colander, rinsing them, and dumping the dirty bean soaking water is a breeze. I wish I'd had it earlier!.

I wanted to blanch my fresh peas in this pot, so I ordered it. It functions admirably. It's very sturdy, and the bottom is thicker. This pot is a wonderful addition to my kitchen and will be useful for many more canning seasonings in the future.

I should've bought the smaller-sized one instead. pot of a certain size; This one is a lot bigger than it needs to be. Boiling water takes a very long time. We're going to have to part with it.
