There is no doubt that it is completely bamboo.
My observations did not reveal anything I would call a "stench." It might have held together better if there was some shellac on it. A lot of things fell apart very quickly.
It works best for me if I scrub the floor with a bristle brush and hot water. only use mild detergent and haven't seen anything go wrong with it. However, my mom advised me to use lemon juice to remove the grease instead, but then I guess she's more old school than I am.
There are nine inches of ID and one and a half inches of depth. The big hole in the bottom of your wok will rest above the boiling water. It's 10 1/8" diameter. It is my hope that this helped.

Thus, I chose to steam them because they are the most healthy way to make them, and I've wanted one of these bamboo steamers for many years now. This is a great product, I have no idea why I didn't buy one sooner. It isn't even that expensive.
Overall, it works well. It is a great experience steaming both levels. The bottom of my tray is lined with cabbage or lettuce leaves to prevent it from getting too dirty. To clean it, I soak a sponge in water, then wipe it clean and dry it by air. It has been reported that they can get mold if they are not completely dry. I love the simplicity of the design, and so far it seems to be working well.
Having been on the dumpling kick for the past couple of months, I went out and bought this steamed set without having a steaming set. The program is doing a great job for me, and I am pleased with the results. I can easily wash it and it seems to be durable. I am giving this a one star rating because I can see there is a small amount of peeling on the side. The way it's currently arranged, I'm not sure if that's the intended way. Since bamboo is bamboo, it shouldn't be too difficult to identify. It took longer than I expected, but whatever came up, came up Other than that, I am very happy with it.
This steamer is my go-to steamer for just about everything! The bok choy, asparagus, and broccoli that come out of these steamers are all delicious. When I first purchased these steamers, I bought them specifically to steam Asian dumplings and shumai (both of which this steamer cooks perfectly) and I have been looking for other things to cook ever since. . . Among the advantages I must mention*br A high-quality product. This steamer appears to be well constructed and sturdy. I must mention*br Rather than scrambling asparagus, it steams in just under five minutes I must mention*br The steamer comes with three levels to steam multiple items at the same time
. The steps are 2.
Pour about 1/4 of a pot of water into the pot (be sure not to let the water touch the steamers or it will boil over) and place it on a medium 1. 'Item 2. You need to place the steamer over the pot's opening. 1. 2. 3. Food is placed in the steamer, covered, and allowed to steam for the desired time. There have been many steamers I have used in the past that haven't been as effective This product is amazing! I highly recommend it!.
My favorite meal so far has been steamed broccoli and frozen Bao buns from the Asian market nearby. In addition, I also purchased a metal rim adapter (sold separately), which has proved beneficial. YouTube video demonstrations show people putting their steamers directly in water on a wok or other pot/pan, but I think the steamers are likely to get stained up, and likely come up short in terms of durability.
At this point, it is still working. For my work, I use parchment circles precut from this product. In order to get the bottom rack off, the steam dislodged the bottom half inch wooden ring that fits underneath. I'm not sure how long the product will continue to work, but so far, it hasn't failed. Once I had used the piece a few times, it came out.
Several years ago, I saw this steamer at my friend's house, who is a good cook and has used it for many In my opinion, this steamer is decent, but there are a couple of bad reviews relating to the quality of this product, so I decided I would order one and send it as a gift to my grandma in Ukraine. Since my grandma was supposed to get one anyway since it was the best, I decided to get her one anyway. The steamer served my friend well for many years, so I would probably not bother writing a review if I hadn't seen it myself. This steamer looks like it was made by some kind of one armed blind slaves who were unable to find any other means of drawing attention to themselves but to make products of such poor quality that somebody will have to take a look at it. My heart goes out to those who work for a company whose products have suffered I would like to ask people to be respectful of themselves. The person who purchases the item instead pays 20 something dollars, but is receiving a piece that would normally be sold at a In any case, I have already assembled a package to be shipped to my relatives, so I won't return it. I do not know what went wrong with this company, but I will not be purchasing a steamer for myself as I had.
There are some reviews that are critical of the quality, but my shipment arrived as expected. I think there are sure to be some Westerners who are unfamiliar with the concept of cooking with bamboo, so their reviews may be lacking in detail. Using wooden products to cook your food is much less likely to leave undesirable chemical residues or particles in it than using metal tools. It is a material like Teflon. As I commonly steam fish with this appliance, I mainly use this steamer for that purpose. I love how it works! Read the directions on the package before you wash it! Do not washing the product with soapy water. It is important to keep in mind that bamboo absorbs moisture and flavors, like all wood products. For mine, I just soak it in hot water overnight and let it air dry. According to the instructions, you should also put a plate underneath your fish and other smelly items to maximize how much bamboo does not absorb. You are on the right track!.
A bamboo steamer as good as the ones made by Iron Chef, made in the same way. bamboo ties are neatly finished and the bottoms of the slats are a lot better and more solidly put together than other brands. In the event that you want to steam many things at once, you can use three to four containers at once The shelves are six tiers high and the lid is prefer the parchment paper liners because they are easy to use and make clean-up easier In Tim Sums, rice wrappings tend to get stuck between the slats otherwise. However, you can create those liners at home by purchasing parchment paper, cutting them to size, and punching holes through them with a hole punch. This size is big enough to fit easily on top of most deep frying pans (to hold the boiling water).
