In this case, a hot pan and a little oil are all that is needed The food will stick every time if the cookware is not fully heated and oiled. When I first got them, all I had to do was season them with some oil, and they have been rockstars ever To do a 1 in the 10" pan is a good size. A 25 lb ribeye would be perfect in the 8" pan, and breakfast would be wonderful. As well as the handle covers, I appreciate the inclusion of them. The tubes have been cleaned several times since, and they haven't degraded in any way that could be indicative of poor craftsmanship. You can buy this set for a relatively low price if you are looking for a good cast iron.
I have a strong feeling that it is durable. I can sear my food to perfection and cook it evenly.
Despite the fact that my husband is the primary user of these pans (too heavy for me to comfortably lift), I occasionally use them and let him clean them up (again, too heavy for me to physically lift). Having said all that, I must move on. Very satisfied with the product! Will definitely buy again.
Cookware made from cast iron is necessary, as I understand. These people are very good at what they do. The handling and cleaning of them is another point of concern. it's just me, but when food gets stuck to the bottom I find it hard to clean. It is suggested that you do not I haven't been able to find an alternative that works for me, but I still use them since the food comes out so well.
Not a single one of these hit me as pre-recorded Before just reading it, I had no idea that it was seasoned. Wouldn't it be awesome if you had It surprised me as well how much weight I gained. This is much lighter than the heavy one my mother had before. In the end, I gave it to my daughter as I wasn't able to use it due to my bad back. So I headed over to Amazon and found these because I found a recipe that used a cast iron skillet, so I wanted to make that. I liked that they had handle covers as well. The product has not been used yet, but no problems should arise.
The process of cooking and cleaning cast iron is still a new challenge for me. My preference for cast iron skillets over another type of cookware may be in the minority, so far I have not used them. I like the silicone grip covers on the handles, but I think the long handle is a little short to me. My only issue is being petite and having worked an office for 40 years, I find these pans too heavy and end up getting carpal tunnel spasms, so I have to have a spare hand with me to grab the closed handle if it is.
I could go on and on about steaks, chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches, grilled veggies, and so They make the pans even more versatile, as the lids make them useful for a variety of tasks. It's hard to imagine how we survived without them before, and I'm glad they've been discovered now. The purchase has been a great success! Remember to keep this in mind, A preseasoned product does not mean it is already ready to eat. That just means they have been treated so they won't rust before selling. Do as you're told when trying to season food. You can get good instructions on YouTube or anywhere you want. You won't need to do it again, even if the job isn't done correctly the first time.
You can't go wrong with the skillets. It is true. Despite their rough finish, they are still attractive. As my old cast iron has seen so many years of use, it has a rough finish that reflects years and years of use. These skillets are great if you follow the directions to the letter every single time! This skillet WILL stick to the food if you do not follow the directions every single time you use it. That's all there is to it. They will amaze you with how well they perform if you do what they ask. Then you will have stuck food if you don't follow their instructions.
