It's true that a little Bar Keeper's Friend can rid a stainless steel pan of a light haze after prolonged use, but that's not a problem for me since I have several stainless steel pans. A little bit can make the pan shine like new! I have found it at most stores on sale for a reasonable price.
My stove top is an induction one, and it works well.
This pan has a base that measures 9 1/2 inches on the bottom, and it should fit on a 12 inch burner, but begins to pitch upwards.
There is no ridge on the bottom of the pan. The Pancake Maker has not been used yet for pancakes, but if you use a low heat setting, it should work well.

The lid has fallen off. The lidless pans are of superior quality and are more economical than similar ones. It was still a good deal for me even though a few reviews here said the glass lid would shatter. Compared to lidless pots with the same price, these were a better value. Since I'm not going to use the lid, I decided not to use it. I'm not sure how Cuisinart engineers missed the flaw in the design when they saw the item. The lid looks to have an issue from the moment you see it. There might just have been some artists involved. In the glass lid, there is no room for play because the steel ring is so tight fitting that it surrounds the glass lid. In an identical fashion, the handle is made of a steel rod that is very tightly attached to the glass, with no room to maneuver. A heated piece of steel expands at a different rate than a warm piece of glass. They push against each other, forcing one of them to give. The stainless steel pan itself is highly polished and of excellent quality, and I gave it a 5 star rating. I would like to add this additional note regarding its polish Using steel wool or hard scouring pads will result in scratches and damage. If you want to preserve the look, don't use them. A soft sponge and soap are all that is needed. To remove baked-on food, sprinkle salt on it first and then use a dryish soapy sponge to rub it To get rid of food stains that won't come off with sponge and soap, cover the pan or place some white/apple cider vinegar in it, cover it with plastic wrap or a lid (to keep the vinegar from evaporating), and let it soak After you've rinsed and dried the next morning, do so again. You will be able to see a brand new one. (Vinegar's acid dissolves / cleans As a result, stainless steel is impervious to vinegar's acidity.
I finished it after it was done. Today, I cooked a lot of vegetables. I put a lid on the pan, turned the heat off, took some of the food off my plate, and left the rest in the pan to keep It wasn't until about 15 minutes later that a loud BOOM struck! was alarmed to see the glass lid shattered! I ran to the kitchen and saw it cracked! Despite the fact that this is an oven-safe frying pan, it was left on the stove without being heated! Please keep the lid off of this product if you buy it! will be returning it and filing a complaint with Cuisinart before someone gets injured!.
I can't recommend this product. The stove was set to medium heat and Spanish rice was being cooked We heard a loud pop and realized the glass lid was no longer clear when the low heat was turned off. The glass maintained its shape until we attempted to lift the lid, at which point the handle just fell out of the shattered glass, dropping pieces of broken glass into the My plans are to contact Cuisinart about this issue, and I will be sure to update this review once I hear back. We did not take care to avoid using the pan and lid in a certain way. I have made the following edits to this article, April Cuisinart replied to my email on April 11 and apologized for the problem with the lid and offered us another one for free. They also said they would be ordering another one in the future. There was no request for a picture or anything like that. Our first attempt at using the new lid was delayed because we were paranoid, but working with Cuisinart was fairly straightforward. In my review, I bumped it up to 4 stars (I like it) because I am happy with it.
The top has been criticized a lot. It seems that's what people love, if that makes sense There's something wrong. You will love this skillet. There would still be a lot to like if it didn't have a top. Whenever you mishandle tempered glass - that is why the top seems to break suddenly - the glass tends to crack or shatter. If you use steel wool or an abrasive, or even if you bump it a few times against your sink - you might be able to get it clean. It will eventually break harmlessly from small fractures that build up over time. As for tempered glass, that's the way it Do not ever ever ever ever ever ever ever clean your tempered glass top with anything other than a soft towel or Always make sure it's not hit against anything ever ever ever ever ever ever. do that, it will last as long as you need it to or until you no longer need it. Since receiving this product, I have used it twice, and each time, the glass cooking lid has broken when I step away from it. As a result, I was very lucky that it happened at the appropriate time, otherwise shards of glass could have struck up into my eyes. The food was ruined, and tiny shards of glass covered the floor.
Despite the great quality of the pan, I wish that I had read the reviews about the lid exploding, so that I would be safer now. I had no idea it would work until three weeks after I purchased it. 3 weeks into sautéing chicken at medium temperatures, I placed the lid on the pan and then. . . All over the place, shrapnel was flying. In the end, I ruined my entire dinner because I did not cover everything else on the stove. This product does not satisfy me. I am not sure how I didn't get hurt. I would never recommend this product. With all the complaints, how are they still able to sell it? In all my life, I have never made a purchase so disappointing.
(From making hashbrowns, I used this pan ONCE and it's now completely stained. As you can see, the heat is not evenly distributed, and the product does stain regardless of its design. Using a dobie and dishwashing liquid, I scrubbed it first using dish soap, then soaked it for a week in vinegar, then scrubbed it again using a dobie and dishwashing liquid. It wasn't possible to do better than this. There are many things about this purchase that I don't like. Possibly I got a lemon, but I would give this a negative star if given the chance.
The pan works well, but the glass lid of my pan exploded from heat during the first use. No idea why but there must have been pressure inside the lid, because there was a really loud POP and it looked like a giant spiderweb underneath. This is awesome because the lid I wanted was a glass one with this pan, but it was an epic fail as I really wanted a glass lid. I still think it's a very good pan.
