My saucepan is non-stick, but I prefer non-stick to Teflon, because the coating wears off too easily over time and food sticks to it. As a consequence, I do not put my pans in the dishwasher as they clean up easily with hot soap and water. A good fit is also achieved with the lid, which is also well-made

The dishwasher will discolor a pot if you are going to buy an expensive pot. If you are buying an expensive pot, wash it by hand. I have expensive pots I wash by hand and they're all fine even if they say dishwasher-safe. If you want to protect your investment don't put it in the dishwasher buy a cheap one if you want to and don't put it in the dishwasher.

I like this saucepan, but I have some issues with it far too light-weight- It is possible for a burner to slip off of one. It heats up quickly (thin base), forcing you to watch your food because it will scorch if left unattended. 2) I like having a glass lid, but not having a vent makes the glass cover cloud up when heated. It is uncommon for me to write a review, but this product was so negative. It is likely I would not have bought it if I had seen this information beforehand.

Over the course of almost 5 years, I've been buying this set with gift cards from my wedding. Despite some wear and tear, the metal part of the pot remains in excellent condition. Heat resistance seems to be a bit of an issue with these handles. Compared to the previous silicon ones, these are a little warmer, but they're not as cool as they were. The only thing I dislike about the lid is the style. I've never been able to get the lid to fit on top very well. A good seal isn't really provided by the edge of the sheet, since it simply sits on top. I think we'd be best off using only plastic rubber utensils inside since wood or other materials could be dangerous. The fact that it's not very heavy is appealing to me. Others had the same complaint that you are unable to see what is inside, in which case you may want to check the lids of others that have a small indent in the lid that helps keep steam out so you can.
