Questions & Answers

Could you tell me how big your teeth are and how far apart they are? I'd like to put it to good use on a non-commercial project. Grilling plate made by Lodge ?

This is one of those simple little devices that does the job perfectly. Made of a composite hard plastic that is both durable and easy to clean (but should never be used on a hot grill). There are two cleaning edges to choose from. Each has its own set of "teeth," which vary in size and spacing. The dimensions are as follows: br>On the one hand, there's the first side. Side two: Four teeth, each 1/2" wide, with a 1/4" gap between them.br>Side one: Six teeth, each 1/4" wide, with 5/16" wide gaps in between.br>All teeth/gaps are 7/32" deep. br>I hope that this information is useful.

Is it compatible with the Calphalon grill pan?

Yes, my daughter has a Calphalon square grill pan, and these fit perfectly in it. I bought it to match her new Lodge griddle, but it works great on both. I hope this information is useful to you.

Have you tried them with a Le Creuset grill pan? Trying to figure out if the scraper's tooth spacing matches this non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non a cast-iron skillet ?

I do not own a Le Creuset skillet. On my Lodge grill pan, however, the scraper does not work. The grooves are reasonably aligned, but the scraper fails to reach the bottom of the grill pan, where the majority of the gunk is located. The chain mail cast iron scraper is one that I would recommend. For regular cast iron, it works wonders. It also works wonders on grill pans with a little elbow grease and a quick soak in hot water. It's available for purchase on Amazon.

Is this something that the lodge would be interested in? P12sgr3 square grill pan from logic? (Are the teeth large enough to fit into the grooves?

Because the teeth on this product are spaced differently on each side, it should work well with any Lodge product. My issue was entirely my fault - I assumed that all cast iron pan grooves were the same, and we have an Emeril grill pan. Regrettably, the Lodge scrapers will not fit. sigh.

Grill Pan Scrapers are perfect for scraping the bottom of the pan
5/5

Initially, neither of the two scraper sizes would fit two different Lodge cast iron pans with ribs. The scraper then fell into place when I tilted it at an angle! Using a snow plow with a slight angle is similar. I also own a Cuisinart Panini Press, which we frequently use to make Panini sandwiches. Small amounts of cheese become imbedded against the bottom edges of the ridges, making cleaning difficult. I tried this lodge scraper at the same angle and it works just fine with my Electric Panini Press. I bought a second set just in case.

My grill pan does not fit - at my house, or any other grate
3/5

I feel bad about writing a negative review for a product that appears to be well-made, but it appears to be the proper course of action. I purchased these scrapers after reading on Amazon that many people who purchased the same grill pan as me also purchased these. I've never owned a grill pan before, so I was surprised to learn that cleaning it required a special tool. However, if the special tool is only a few dollars and has overwhelmingly positive reviews, I should probably buy it, right? br>br>This is incorrect. It turns out that angling these scrapers in any plane so that any part of the scraper reaches the bottom of the grill pan between the ridges is impossible. They don't even come close to making contact with the ridges. I went out back, discouraged, and attempted to use them on my backyard grill. No joy. I had some old backyard grill grates with varying sizes and spacing - Neither the scrapers nor the scrapers would fit. br>br>If I knew a three-word phrase, I would use it. year- I'd show them how to make cool patterns in the sand if I had a sandbox, but I don't, so they got tossed.

It won't fit in the skillet that's recommended

They're attractive, and they'd probably go well with a bar's grills. but not with the Calphalon Square Grill Pan, 11-Inch, Contemporary Hard-Anodized Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Black, 1 inch The serrations of the skillet do not fit between the raised portions of the pan. It'll be fine
3/5

It's possible to make improvements. There's not much to say here; it's just a scraper for your cast iron pan, skillet, or grill pan. Yes, it accomplishes all of these goals, but it does not assist me in cleaning in the manner that I prefer. My way? I'd fill the pan halfway with water, bring it to a boil/heat, and scrape the bottom. Prior to attempting this, I used a bamboo spatula. Both of them contribute to the project in some way. Is it possible to compare the two? The bamboo loses its wood over time, but not this one. This also speeds up the cleaning of the grill pan. Cleaning, on the other hand, is much easier with the spatula's long handle. br>It is entirely your decision. If you clean while boiling, a longer handle is required; however, if you clean in the sink, a shorter handle may be preferable.

Lodge Manufacturing SCRAPERGPK Grill Pan Scraper, 2-Pack is great for grill pans and is a very useful item to have
5/5

Lodge by Lodge is how you should pack. I bought a Lodge Grill Pan a while back and then these shortly after. They come in handy when it comes to cleaning your grill pan! They don't remove any rust, but they do get into those grill grooves and remove the gunk. If you have a grill pan, this set of two Lodge Manufacturing SCRAPERGPK Grill Pan Scrapers is a must-have. br>br>I also use the straight edge to scrape the pan's sides, so the scraper as a whole is useful. br>br>It's nice to have a two-pack because I can keep one with my pan and use the other for camping because I use my grill pans on campfires as well. br>br>Be sure to let the pan cool before using it, and don't stay in it while it's hot - They're made of plastic, so they'll melt. br>br>I have the ten. This works well in a 5 inch pan. I'm not sure if it will fit the larger pan, but it has a wide tooth edge and a narrower edge, so it might. br>br>The only difference between the red and black scrapers is the color.

They'll get you halfway there, but you'll need to invest in chain mail and a wire scraper as well
3/5

For starters, they're made for Lodge grill pans and are extremely difficult to clean. Let's get that out of the way right away. br>br>Some of the food is scraped off with the scrapers. However, the implication is that if your Lodge Grill pan has baked-on food, this device will solve your problem. In reality, this tool aids in the removal of the most common types of stuck-on objects. For the medium-sized food, you'll need the chain mail scrubber (which Lodge sells). stuck for a long time- ons, as well as a grill cleaner with wire bristles and a long handle for stubborn stuck-on food. carbon and ons - Every time I cook a steak, I get all of these things. br>br>In the end, the scrapers are largely unnecessary if only steps 2 and 3 are completed. I use scrapers as part of the three-step process because I have them, but it wouldn't make a difference if I didn't. br>br>I adore cast iron, and Lodge is my favorite brand, but cleaning it is a pain. That's just something you have to accept as part of the cast-iron cooking sport.

More fangs are required
3/5

I agree with the other reviewers that the concept is fantastic, that the fit for LPGI3 is perfect (teeth width), but that the teeth aren't quite deep enough. Consider how you apply paint to a surface - Is it better to do it at a shallow angle to the surface or at a 90-degree angle? Because the scraper's teeth only come into contact with the grill at a 90-degree angle, cleaning is at best mediocre; my generic scrub brush did a better job. Not terrible, but not up to the task of cleaning tough 'grilled on' gunk. If the substance to be removed isn't hard-cooked onto the surface, this method works well. And, while soaking may help a little, it isn't enough. More product testing should have been carried out. br>.

It's also great for removing fat from grooves
5/5

This has made me very happy. It's difficult to clean grill pans. I quickly realized they're useful in two ways. Even if there aren't any stuck-in-the-middle situations, Adding a little warm water to the cooled pan and then scraping the grooves with the scraper pushes the congealed fat (from steaks, for example) to the edge, making it much easier to wipe out. Although the scraper does not fit the reversible griddle with two burners, it does fit my single burner square pan perfectly. It's made of hard plastic, so it'll scratch nonstick pans, but it'll work fine on cooled - not hot! The material is cast iron.
