Questions & Answers
For cheese, both the Sierra and Lugano Fondue Sets are excellent. The Lugano may have a slight advantage because the larger pot provides more warming surface and reduces the risk of the cheese burning on the bottom (though burnt cheese is delicious!). Cheese, chocolate, and oil/broth are all great additions to the Sierra. You can't go wrong with either of these options! yes without a doubt
This fondue set is ideal for all types of fondue because of the cast iron pot's excellent heat conduction. Swissmar Swiss Fire Gel is our pick for a heat source. It can be used in our fondue burners. Adjust the temperature using the fondue burner's handle once the oil has reached the desired temperature; the flame should not be too aggressive. More instructions can be found in the product manual, which you should read before using it for the first time.
Yes, it can be placed directly on the stovetop.

I was so excited to get this because my daughter-in-law has a similar design, cast iron, but hers uses liquid sterno and burns hotter. Hers is a favorite of ours for holiday gatherings and meat fondue. Perhaps someone will redesign it.
After much research, I decided to purchase this cast iron fondue pot. Yes, there are less expensive options, but they are unlikely to cook meat. At a party, I used it to make chocolate fondue. It was a big hit with the guests. It's simple to use and understand. I bought the blue liquid that was recommended for keeping the chocolate warm in the small metal pot. It was also simple to clean up. I was preoccupied with the guests and forgot about the chocolate, so I left it in the pot overnight. The next morning, it was ready to go. With a spoon and the, I scooped out the vast majority. The rest of the cast iron pot was simply melted away with hot water. In addition, the color blue is one of my favorites.
With this set, I made my first fondue. I chose it based on the reviews on this site and others. Each piece is of exceptional quality. We had guests over, so there were six of us, and there was plenty of cheese in this size pot to go around. I forgot about the extra cheese because I was waiting for it to cool down so I could clean it up until the next morning. Even though it had sat out all night, we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to clean. Make the fondue on the stove first, then transfer to the fondue pot using the lowest setting on the burner. It kept it very hot, and we only used about half of the liquid burner fuel in an hour of use.
Good quality pot and base, but as others have stated, you cannot remove the cup after it has been lit because there is insufficient space between the legs.
This is a nice fondue pot that can be used for both meat and cheese fondue. It's also possible that it's for the sake of chocolate. It's heavy, but not unstable, because it's made of cast iron enamel. Before turning on the gel fuel burner, we heated some oil on the stove. Oil temperature is less volatile than in a thin stainless fondue pot, but it takes longer to heat and cool. The enamel is attractive, and the color serves as a warning to children that it may become hot. Furthermore, the pot is not so large that a large amount of oil is required. The only disadvantage is that the burner will not fit through the legs without being lifted, so you'll have to leave it in place before adding the pot. I've seen smaller burners, and I believe the legs and base could have been made wider, or a smaller burner could have been paired with it. Overall, it's a good size and appears to be well constructed. The inside is also enameled, so it cleans up easily.
It's a good price, but you have to judge the size for yourself. I made a fondue for four people as the main course, but there was enough to feed six people. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br> The forks are terrible. They are functional, but they have a cheap appearance and feel to them. br> It is possible to improve the fuel can.
Pros: br> Easy to clean (considering it's cheese)br> Good weight (for staying in place and regulating heat)br> Pricebr> Looks goodbr>I prefer fire to an electric pot. You won't have to worry about an electric cord at the table, and you'll be able to use it outside on the patio as well. I make the fondu on the stove anyway (though you could make it at the table if your cheese is grated; the Fire Gel provides plenty of heat).
As a Christmas present, I bought this. During the holidays, it was used for cheese and chocolate on several occasions. It is extremely well received by the recipients. It's not only stylish and attractive, but it's also extremely functional and simple to maintain. I also bought some Swissmar sterno gel cans. They were made to go together. This is an excellent product.
At a fantastic price, a genuine Swiss fondue set.
