According to the description, I thought it was made of white needles when I bought it. That is not the case. This is a horrific mix of crushed items that I threw out. I have not found this product to be of the same quality as other Davidson We strongly advise that you stay away from it at all costs.
This organic white tea is sourced from family tea farms in India. That's what Davidson's Himalayan White says on its website.

Since we have several years of experience drinking white tea, we are able to tell right off that this tea has flavorings in it. Simply smelling the leaves tells us how strong it is, without us having to drink it. These seem to be adding it to a lot of products these days and it does not appear on the label. Addition of flavors is absolutely not our cup of tea. Adding flavors to white tea does not alter its taste or fragrance, and there is no need to add any. While it is very subtle and not all people can appreciate it, that is because we have become accustomed to artificial flavors for so long that our taste buds can no longer recognize natural flavors.
The moment I opened the bag, I was flooded with a rush of fragrant scents. The grass is green and the air is I love the taste of it. To brew it properly, you must take the following precautions Don't overbrew or the tea will be bitter. Make the water almost boiling, but not quite. This tea should take no longer than five minutes to prepare. Despite its caffeine kick, it does not have an overpowering flavor. It was a very satisfactory purchase for me.
My review of Davidson's organic white teas is here - I tried four separate packages of white tea and loved I enjoyed the tea a lot. The point was to test them out before committing to a larger amount of one variety, and I chose Himalayan White to do this. This package does not match what I remember from a smaller amount of this variety last year--but it does look good. My cup tastes kind of like green tea (not really a fan of green teas), and I have to note the amount of tea leaves and temperature of the water before I brew it or it ends bitter. There has never been a time when white tea of any kind or quality went bitter for me. This puzzles me, and I am disappointed as well.
In the absence of flavor from the branches and stems found in this tea, it is a rather bland drink. Having larger chunks and smaller pieces of leaves does not accomplish the consistency of flavor that is desired. I find this to be quite problematic. Throughout the last half of the year, I have been learning The weight is about a pound. Despite the fact that this tea costs more than three times as much, I would rather go back to my Jade Cloud green tea, and I will save up some money to go back to my silver needle white tea. It is much better than this tea.
There is no comparison to it! It is the best ice cream I have ever had! It takes a lot more effort to buy them at places like Whole Foods and other healthy grocery stores. Since I have never yet experienced a low-quality batch of Davidson's tea I have only purchased Davidson's tea as my only tea source- While I've never tried their white tea, every other one I've tried was perfect. That's all the hookup I need! We are very thankful to have such high quality pure tea from Davidson's There is no doubt that this is.

At least it has a substantial amount of L-theanine. There is nothing wrong with their white peony, but it is too grassy for me. I prefer their white peony with its buttery taste.
