The following is a quote from Harris Tea, the tea's supplier: br>"Paper from the abaca plant (a banana species) is used to make our tea bags. ) Also known as Manila hemp, it is grown in countries such as the Philippines, Ecuador, and Costa Rica, and has a significant economic impact. Every 8 oz. of premium tea is cut and blended to ensure a consistent and timely steep. cup. "br>br>I'm still waiting for them to respond to my question about the exact source of the tea used in Newman's Own Teas. I couldn't find anything about this on their website, nor on Newman's, other than the fact that Harris Tea supplies Newman's with organic teas. br>br>If anyone knows where this tea comes from, please let me know. What country did the tea come from, and which tea estate did it come from? Kindly inform us. Thank you very much.
The location of the tea's origin is not stated on the box. It's labeled as a non-returnable item. Organic and non-GMO. I'm guessing it's grown in the far east, where the majority of tea is grown.
Caffeine is naturally present in black tea.

I get so annoyed when I read negative reviews about minor issues like the tea bag wrapper having different words on it than it did previously, or that it is significantly more expensive than in a market. Really? Is it really worth it to write a bad review because of a few dollars? Instead of going to the store, take it to Amazon, or go to the market and buy it. There appear to be people out there who merely want to lower ratings for no apparent reason. Perhaps competitors? Alternatively, people who are grumpy. br>br>These complaints are unrelated to the tea's excellent flavor. It's still affordable, and I'm glad that every penny goes to charity. It's a delicious organic tea that's very affordable.
Husband has been a long-time fan of Lipton tea - We were looking for an organic tea that tasted good after reading recent reviews about the use of pesticides on tea. Newman's is a good choice if you're looking for something different. It appeals to him greatly. (and believe me, we've tried a lot) My only complaint is that they're individually wrapped - That was a complete waste of paper. Keeping them in an airtight glass container is simple. (We do, however, recycle the wrapper because it is so simple that it isn't a big deal - Each and every contribution is beneficial!.
Aside from being organic, it has a lovely delicate flavor that isn't overpowering. Paper, rather than plastic, is used to wrap the bags. The only disadvantage is that the string is stapled on, so I can't compost it.
I usually drink Limpton black tea, but over the last few months I've noticed that it doesn't taste as fresh, lacks flavor, and occasionally makes me sick. After doing some research, it was discovered that liptom could contain chemicals and pests, so this bran was discovered. I immediately noticed a difference after my first cup of hot tea! This tea has a lot of flavor, and it tastes healthy and delicious. Each cup is something I'm looking forward to. br>I also did some research on this tea and discovered that it is comparable to the more expensive brands but at a more reasonable price. I highly recommend it.
I like this tea alone or mixed with other teas to cut through flavors that are too strong (peach, peppermint, etc. ) or to add body where it is lacking (decaf, which isn't as bad as you might think). A visiting friend gave it to me a few years ago, and it's been extremely helpful in navigating the tea world - There will be fewer regrets and a greater return on investment.
While temporarily relocating to another state, as well as during the pandemic, I was unable to locate this tea. This brand appeals to me, and the fact that it is organic is appealing to me as well. I'm glad I found it on Amazon and didn't have to pay too much for it. Newman's Own green tea is also a favorite of my husband's.
' When I'm too busy to make a pot of loose leaf tea, I give in and make one from a bag, but it's been difficult to find any decent tea since I moved to the US from Australia. (I'm not a fan of Liptons. ) I also like to drink my tea in a large mug (400ml), so I needed something that could infuse that much liquid. This has a flavor that isn't overpowering or underpowering, and it's very enjoyable and cost-effective.
