Although the spoon is solid, it only has a short handle, which could be a good thing if you prefer that. The scoop I got was supposed to scoop loose tea, but it wasn't as useful as I would have liked to have it as a scooping tool. Towards the end of the trip, I saw one with a long handle at the Asian supply market for less.
In addition to drinking tea, I'm a fan of coffee. Exactly what I need for my pot is this scoop. My filter basket is full once the tea is steeped after a couple scoops of bulk green or oolong tea. That'd be nice if they made it with a little bit It is recommended!.
This scoop is perfect for epsom salts, it's very small and compact, like a pencil eraser.
There's just something about this tea scoop spoon that I'm drawn to. Although the handle is short, I do not mind it. It's really simple to scoop tea from the canister if you turn it sideways. Two teaspoons of salt fit in this spoon, just so you'll know how much is in it. A more significant feature of the spoons (and you cannot tell from the photo) is that the bottoms are flat so you can work in a stable measuring environment. When it comes to Joyce Chen, there's really nothing to worry about.
