It works great, and it is The items in my bag are still in good condition. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
It is the perfect size for my matcha whisk.
I made some hot chocolate lattes with it and I really like it.
It has been shown that the "Tea Ceremony" is done in movies and anime to show respect or service to valued friends or guests. What a neat idea to have the actual tools used for the ceremony on display. Now that I have a very nice iron pot for heating water, a small stoneware pot about the right size, and a whisk and tool for transferring tea, I am ready to go. Besides not understanding why the steps are done as they are, from the leaning of the tea leaves, to the whisking of Matcha in the bowl, to the offering of the drink, I don't know why they are done that way. According to what I have learned, this ceremony dates back to the 9th century China and a Buddhist monk who prepared tea for the Emperor in this manner. There is a resemblance to things like purity and tranquility in its design. As well as in religious ceremonies, it was also used. The coffee industry in Japan has a rich history and dates back to when tea was imported from China and became popular in Japan. Reading about it is worth your time, and it is great to have the tools to do it as authentically as you can. While I don't care for green tea in general, Matcha is an exception, since it is so refined that the characteristic bitterness is not present. In my opinion, it would be wrong to put a bit of sweetness into a tea ceremony. Those who are interested in different cultures, particularly Japanese culture, will find this recommendation worth considering.
I received this via the Amazon Vine program, but I would have paid $18 for it. In a snap, you can get it for 99 cents (at the time of this review). Included are the chasen (bamboo whisk), chashaku (bamboo scoop) and a nifty whisk holder, which does make this an interesting set. Matcha makers are made and appear to be sturdy enough to hold up to very many servings. The traditional tea of the emperors can be served in a short amount of time thanks to this appealing Likewise, you can use it for matcha as well as any other powdered drinks.
This set is a great bargain at an affordable price, plus you get free shipping on orders over $50.
A simple and attractive gift idea, the Traditional Matcha Tea Tool Set is a simple and attractive set that would suit a variety of recipients. I like the way that the ceramic whisk holder looks so smooth and sophisticated and protects my whisk in great condition.
These implements are exactly as described and should prove invaluable for preparing Matcha tea. I become more and more familiar with matcha tea all the time.
