Questions & Answers

Do you want to send a message to An individual What is the effect of metal or plastic on water?

A stainless steel or glass bottom sits on top of the stainless steel, the stainless steel will never come into contact with water. The glass is removed from the object. In addition to the plastic lid, there is a plastic mesh filter on the inside.

What kind of plastic is this? Is it closed? What is it like inside? what is it like ?

Although the handle/top sits inside the rim, it does not perfectly seal the container, so I'm not certain I understand what you mean by "lid.".

What is the origin of this product? Even if I have to pay more, I want to support my fellow American. ?

China is the manufacturer of all of our appliances. It is our duty to assure you that our products and components meet all government standards and are FDA and UL certified. The Hamilton Beach brand products are also tested by independent laboratories to ensure they meet the high standards expected of them. Often, the rigorous tests we conduct exceed the government standards, making us a leader in the industry when it comes to safety and quality.

The water tastes like plastic once the kettle comes to a boil, but I still love this kettle. Despite boiling vinegar and baking soda, I was unable to solve the problem. Need some assistance?

After the vinegar has been rinsed well, try only vinegar. It is not able to clean the pot since the baking soda reacts with the vinegar.

I love mine
5/5

I love you all. This product has received both positive and negative reviews, which makes me always skeptical about its performance. In spite of this, some of the negative reviews left me The film at the bottom of the pot after use was commented upon by one person. I'm not holding the pot there. You can see that there's water in your jar. Using a simple mix of dish soap and vinegar will take care of the problem. If the water has already boiled, why would you want to open the top? It is simply a matter of pouring the water into your teapot or cup. Moreover, there was a burning plastic smell, according to another person. While that is a concern, it is not my situation. Here is an honest review of the game based on that perspective. First of all, this is my second experience with it. Two months ago, I knocked it off the counter and it broke, as glass often does. As I already had a larger pot, I decided I didn't need it and instead decided to use the 4 cup one instead. I love it just as much as the larger one! With this kettle, after the water boils, it automatically shuts off, unlike a traditional kettle that sits on your stove top. The pot does not have to boil while I watch because we all know that watching something do not make it The cup here is small, so if you need more than four cups, buy the bigger cup.

This is a very well-designed website
5/5

Having a good time. There are a lot of little details that indicate someone really smart worked on the design of this product. Upon opening fully, the top of the carafe clicks into place and stays in place. As soon as you take the cord out of the box, it must be unwrapped from inside the base -- you can choose to unwrap the cord at either 12" or 24" lengths -- whatever This is all- A glass carafe that, as far as I can tell, is somehow annealed to its stainless metal heating base, without any apparent plastic or sealant exposed. Plastic covers the top of the carafe, like on a regular coffee maker, so only minimal plastic is in contact with the liquid. A mesh container with a plastic rim), in case the (typical/normal) lime deposits flakes off during the You can reach all the way into the spout for cleaning and it is just wide enough for your hand (unless you have a huge hand). Boiling water should be the only use for it. There is a 0 mark as the minimum mark. Max is 1 liter 5 liters is the maximum. The word count is 0. My guess is that I will try it with a lesser number. Since it has an automatic shutoff mechanism of 5L (don't tell anyone), it will stop boiling if it runs out. The pot shuts itself off roughly ten seconds after it reaches maximum boiling, which is not something that should happen to it anyway. The water has to be boiled. It took two minutes to bring 7L of water to a full boil It took about 3 minutes and 40 seconds. One of the huge advantages of a glass carafe is that you can see when it is boiling and stop it before it reaches a boil, e. g. You can buy a more affordable teapot that dispenses tea at a specific temperature rather than buying a much more expensive one The temperature at which the points are reached. Even when the carafe is lifted off to pour hot water, the small base can remain plugged in. Carafe's design is very nice, as it has blue LED lights that come on while heating up, and shut off once it has boiled. The designers must have figured we already have enough beeps in our kitchens as this one does not emit a signal when it's done - a slight shortcoming if that's a concern The water boils so quickly that it gives me just enough time to organize my mug, make a french press and prepare coffee, without having to wait too long. There is an ETL listing for this. This says very emphatically "do not immerse in water" which means there is no washing of dishes either - not a problem as far as Clean it with a soft cloth instead of abrasive cleaners Lime or calcium deposits can be removed by running a bit of vinegar or cream of tartar through it. There's a warning in the manual that you should unplug it when not in use, most likely because pressing the "power on" lever located at the bottom of the carafe's handle is relatively easy. While the handle remains perfectly cool even with repeated usage, the glass surrounding it tends to get as hot as whatever it is backing up. It is not necessary to pour when filling the pitcher, only when refilling it, but I have not found it to be a problem, the same as with every kettle or hot water dispenser I have ever used. Not because I needed it, but because I want to reduce my carbon footprint by using this for daily tea and coffee as well as boiling water for cooking (pour the boiling water into a pot on the stove, it can't cook in it) and it's faster than a gas stove. It is a sort of first step before investing in induction cookware that is expensive. I don't care whether you buy this for any reason or for any other reason, you're going to like this if you take pleasure in well-designed, beautifully styled, and functional products. Obviously, if you do not see any notes below, it means that it is still working well without problems for me. If you do not see any notes below, I will return and edit this.

Can cancer be served with your tea? This is serious to me, and I don't usually write reviews

When you pour water this product gives off a chemical smell that gets onto your clothes. There is a strong chemical smell to my shirt. This does such irreparable damage to the water that I cannot imagine what leaches in. There needs to be a ban on selling this product!.

Try to find something else to buy
3/5

The pros are My use of it resulted in a quick heat up of water. The cons are I fractured the glass carafe while heating and cooling it for the first time. It was only when I was about to go fill it to use it again that I saw the crack on the back of the carafe. I called the Hamilton Beach 800 number and was placed on hold for On Friday, March 1, the online system was used to submit a report. In response, they requested a copy of the receipt and series number on March 4. Here's a tip to help you succeed The series number is not printed on the label's field where it says "series number", followed by a As the area is molded into the plastic of the unit, it is difficult
I responded with the series number and invoice within an hour of their request. Four business days have gone by since then and I have not heard anything. My defective carafe has been with me for 17 days now, and I spent ten of those days waiting for Hamilton Beach to replace it. Within the return period, I have a couple more days to return it, but I will return it to Amazon for a refund and buy something else if Hamilton Beach doesn't do the right thing Here's the update The 12th of March to the 15th of April As soon as the issue was resolved, I was told to cut the cord off the appliance, to send a photo that proved I did that, and after three days I would receive my refund My email/photo will take 4 days to process, and I should receive the new unit within 2 In exchange for the warranty replacement, they generously waived shipping and handling costs. I'm being sarcastic As the wait continues, it gets longer.

The functions work as expected, but why is the size so large? It heats water nicely and is entirely made of glass and stainless steel where it touches water, so there is no plastic taste
4/5

It feels a bit cheap though, especially the switch for turning There is no way for your hand to fit into the opening, so you will need a handle on a sponge or brush. Unlike many other models, it does not feature a stay warm function or a lower temperature setting. There is one annoying part, however. The 1 L carafe in comparison to the 1 cup is considerably larger! My new 75-litre water heater is an energy efficient model. A minimum of 0 is also required. This time around there is 5 L to heat, which is twice as much water as before. It's not possible to heat only a cup of water at a time.

A crack developed on the glass after 8 months of light usage
3/5

The kettle I received was wonderful! A high quality, affordable, stylish unit that safely and efficiently heats water. In spite of this, the glass cracked while heating water after 8 months of light use (maybe once a week). Upon my return, I found my counter covered in boiling water and tiny fragments of glass. I am very upset about this, as apart from that, it was a It has been a week since I contacted Hamilton Beach, but no response has been received. As soon as I hear from them, I'll update.
