There were two separate units involved. Black and Decker sent us a replacement unit after we returned the first unit after 2 months, after we found water under the base after use (these are actually made by Spectrum Brands under the Black and Decker name). In the same way, the replacement happened as well. In the meantime, we have sent the item back to the manufacturer for a refund. Compared to other brands like Proctor Silex and Hamilton Beach, there are no such problems.
