Yes, that is possible. Just make sure to rinse the pod holder before reinstalling it. When the light goes out, press the on button to turn it back on.
I use the coffeeduck, but it appears that it is no longer available; however, I did find one on ebay: Coffeeduck For Senseo Classic or ECOPAD Refillable for SENSEO, both of which work ok but the coffeeduck is far superior.
I'm not sure, but they both function in the same way and provide the same advantages. It's possible that one is simply a newer model with a larger water tank.
This new Phillips is identical to the one I had previously. I was 4 3/4" tall. My biggest cup will fit in there.

The first one didn't work out. Returning it was simple, and the second one worked perfectly. Coffee is delicious, and unlike other single-cup designs, it does not waste plastic.
This morning (March 28, 2021) I received my first shipment of this brand of coffee pods. br>I poured myself a cup of coffee right away. In fact, I've put it to the test. I replaced it with a Senseo's original pod of the same type, which tasted just as good. I've tried the "old standby": For those curious, if the rest of the pods are as good as this one, I'm happy with my purchase. I did read a few complaints about the product's quality, and to be fair, the company may have quality control issues that affect consistency, but I can only judge my own experience and the product I received. I've also attached a couple of photos as well as a 5-second video. br>I hope this review is useful to prospective purchasers. Thank you very much! br>br>br>br>br>br>b.
This is a fantastic coffee maker in general! Rather than the k-cups, I prefer the SENSEO style biodegradable round coffee pads. cups that generate a great deal of unnecessary plastic for our environment to deal with The Philips SENSEO Original XL I received has a low-end plastic build with a few thin metal components, leaving you wondering what you're getting for the relatively high price tag. After that, you make a cup of coffee and realize that it is well worth the money. The majority of the time, it's all positives for me, with only a few flaws. For those who are interested, I'll make a list of both of them. br>br>The Postiives are a group of people who believe in something that they don't believe in.
1. How about that froth? This tiny device produces a deliciously foamy cup of coffee. It's incredible how well it makes a frothy cup of black coffee. It's heaven when you add creamer and sugar to taste.
2. The flavors of the Senseo brand are fantastic.
3. It's quick and easy to make a cup. If you only make 3 or 4 cups per day or less, you only need to fill the water every few days. It will take approximately 70-80 minutes. It only takes 90 seconds to heat the water, and everything can be rinsed once a week or so.
4. Size and Intensity can be adjusted to suit your preferences. It comes with two nozzles, two size settings (1 or 2 cups), and two intensity levels per size (push the button twice for more intensity). ) You can also use one or two pods at a time; I've found that using two pods and pressing the two cup button once gives me a perfect fill in my favorite mug. This enables me to use one decaf and one regular dark pod for a great-tasting, caffeine-free option. br>br>A couple of drawbacks.
1. Construction is of poor quality. It won't impress anyone (but then again, neither will I). ) It won't last indefinitely (but neither will I. ) )
2. It's a very loud environment! The issue, in my opinion, is the poor build quality. As it gets to work, everything just rattles a little. If you're going to be sneaking around making coffee in the middle of the night while people are sleeping nearby, I suppose this is useful information to have. I did notice that if you place your fingers on the metal grate beneath your cup, the noise is reduced by about half.
3. You're not going to be able to fit your travel mug in there. It works fine in regular coffee cups and most mugs, but you'll need to transfer the coffee to your tall YETI, which you absolutely must use because you paid so much for it. Finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally, finally br>When I first received this product, it arrived in a battered box (with no outer box), and when I opened it, it was clear that I had just paid full price for a used product that was advertised as "NEW. " " The majority of the inner packaging had vanished, and in its place had been thrown some bubble wrap. The components were a little scuffed and damp from a recent cleaning. There were coffee stains on the small metal drain/grate. Several of the coffee bags had even been opened, and several pods had gone missing! This was bought on Amazon from " SmoDy. " I was going to pack it up and return it right away, but I was tired and needed a cup of coffee, so I cleaned it up and tried it again. Everything went so smoothly that I decided to keep it all. But, if you're reading this, "SmoDy," you should be aware that wasn't cool. I believe you owe me a portion of my money back. Or at the very least, "Our apologies; from now on, we'll take a closer look at our returns before sending them out the door as new. ".
I've owned Senseo machines since they first came out. I used to love this machine, but after it was recalled, I stopped using it. Meanwhile, in an attempt to duplicate the Senseo creme', I've tried at least a half-dozen different machines with no luck. I got the new one, and it had the metallic taste described in an earlier review when I used Senseo coffee pods. I had a refillable coffee pod from years of using this machine, and when I used it to make coffee, it was flawless. So instead of buying prepackaged Senseo coffee, I would purchase a refillable plastic coffee pod and enjoy it.
cups that would end up in a landfill where they would take at least 300 years to decompose! (Though by now, someone should've figured out a cheap way to melt the plastics back into the oil distillates from which they came? ) I'm glad the Senseo market is resurrecting "I believe it's a good thing!" " To use Martha's phrase!.
It works great, but coffee pads are difficult to come by in Delaware, and they are very expensive. Using a reusable plastic device to fill with coffee is much less expensive and less harmful to the environment than the Keurig System, which I believe is a terrible waste of plastic. The taste is also far superior to that of a Keurig.
It makes coffee that is just as good as any I've had from a Keurig machine, and I love that the SOFT coffee pods are completely compostable. We never got a Keurig because we didn't like the idea of all those little plastic pods polluting the environment. We've had Senseo coffee makers for a long time, and this one is by far the best. It's simple to use, consistently produces excellent coffee, and we like the fact that our used soft pods don't end up in landfills!.
It wasn't even close to being scorching. Because other pods are too large, you must use senseo pods. It makes only a small cup of coffee.
