Amazon and Illy won't replace it. In the beginning I was pleased with the product, but after 6 months it started leaking. Trying to replace the plastic ring in the water container did not work for me. Despite my efforts to descale as they suggested, the leak continued. When I contacted Amazon, they informed me that it is past the return date and that there is nothing they can do other than to recommend I contact Illy directly. After I contacted Illy they informed me that it was still covered under warranty, but that because Amazon was not the seller, MMP Living was, illy didn't have to pay for Buyer beware, if you plan to buy any type of warranty, make sure you buy directly from illy or Amazon, not from a 3rd-party This is something that Amazon should have been more transparent about.
The room's coffee maker was the source of the problem. My only experience with espresso was from Starbucks and I didn't enjoy it either. This is not a new machine. I just received my order and apparently the box was already opened. According to the description, it failed.
