It is true that the cup warmer turns on when you place a cup on it. In order to ensure your safety, the cup automatically turns off when you remove it. The reason I love this product is because of its simplicity.
There is a cord attached to the device
4 feet is the length of the cord

I have another warmer which only warms an entire cup to lukewarm, and it warms better with relatively little liquid in it. Although this one will keep a whole mug of coffee hot for an extended period of time. There is an advantage to the glass top Other warmers with metal plates get a scratch off of the paint when coffee mugs are placed on them this one does not. While this warmer has some great features, I am concerned about a few safety issues, which is why I cannot give it a higher There's a flaw #1 at this point in time This mug's top is completely flat and smooth, making it easy to tip over, which could lead to a There is a need for them to reassess This needs a rim around the hot spot to prevent the mug from sliding off. Flaw #2 - Too many orphans in the system There is only one on/off switch on the warmer, located on the bottom next to the pressure sensor. Despite my affection for the pressure sensor, this is why I purchased it, but it should ALSO have a separate switch to make sure that it is DEFINITELY turned off and remains You're at risk of a fire if someone sets something on this warmer without paying attention (like a magazine). If this is sitting somewhere not being used, then someone else might not be paying attention, and set something on the warmer. The easiest option is to unplug it each time, but that's a hassle when you don't have a convenient plug. A gift like this should NOT be given to someone who is elderly or who is not known to take fire safety precautions.
You can use this device for its intended purpose, but be careful because its The beverage I drink hot is slow to cool down My coffee gets cold, and I don't like it when it does. It was my intent to try it out, and I am happy I did.
BEWARE, it keeps your alcoholic beverage warm, but it is not as good as it looks. As I lifted my mug for the first time, I put my fingers on the bottom and ended up burning. There was no way I could stand the heat! If you know what I mean, I don't mean hot, but hot glue gun glue (if you get what I mean)! A blister is on each of my three fingers! It is very dangerous to have kids around the heater as it is extremely hot. Although I've had mug heaters in the past, this is the hottest one yet. You can use it, but you should use it carefully.
It is not stable with a heavy ceramic mug on top of it, so I will probably return Another one I have is flat and works perfectly near my computer, so I know the surface is completely flat. Shorting it out causes it to act as if something is going on. It should be turned on when it is placed on the circle, and the light should be on while it is there. The idea that it cuts on and off repeatedly is also not ideal, as it takes a lot more time to warm up over and over every time the cup is lifted, rather than maintaining For me, it would be better if I turned it off and on and, if I took the cup with me while doing some chores around the house and drank from it, I would like it hot again when I placed it back.
However, just the other day I placed my cup on the top with my cup of coffee in it when all of a sudden I heard a pop, and quickly looked over to find that the glass The purchase was not a good one. I will not make it.
I really like this mug warmer because it keeps my coffee warm and it puts out a lot of heat! I do not recommend this model because, if something were to lay on it and activate the heat sensor (by weight), it does get pretty hot. I unplug it at the end of each day when I stop for coffee and once I leave the office I double check that it is unplugged.
It keeps my coffee hot for a long time. Upon placing a cup on it, the unit won't heat up until the cup is actually placed on it.
Even after repeated use, the product seems to smell like melted plastic. The bottom of the vessel becomes very hot.
