Everything is powder coated in a nice red.
It's not going to work for honey.
Hello,br>Please rest assured that the wood is not coated.
It doesn't include a wooden block, but I'm not sure why you'd need one. I've used my press a few times and had good results each time. The only thing I added was a piece of plywood to act as the press's base. I screwed the legs to the plywood and cut it long enough so that I could stand on it while operating the crusher or press. The press will not move during operation as a result of this.

This arrived today, so I began the process of making cider. To begin with, preparing the apples takes a lot of time (which has nothing to do with the press, but you get the idea). Prepare to spend a long time on this). To make things easier, I'll need to invest in one of those crushers. I was surprised to see the vertical rods bend with the torque when I first cranked the handle down on my first press (see photo). However, once I let go of the pressure, the rods straightened out again. So far, everything has gone well. The cider has a great flavor. I don't know what apples I used because they came from a backyard apple tree. br>br>One drawback is that the instructions are difficult to follow because they appear to have been written in a different language at first, then translated using Google Translate, and then printed without any proofreading by someone who speaks English. I enjoy reading them. Some of the sentences were completely devoid of meaning. However, because it is a simple machine, you should be able to figure it out. br>br>Edited on March 3, 2020: Because I didn't mean it to be so negative, I fixed a typo and changed the title. The original title was "rods already bent on first press. " "However, after I was finished, the rods went back to being straight, so hopefully everything will be fine. ".
To press grapes, I bought this product. My husband and I had been pressing our grapes by hand to make fresh grape juice, so we decided to invest in this fruit press to make the process a little easier. This press does a wonderful job. It's exactly what it says it is, and it's already put together. The press is well-made and capable of extracting grape juice with ease. I like that, unlike some of the lower-cost fruit presses, this one does not require the use of wood blocks or spacers. I was able to use it right away after removing it from the box. The first batch of press we received had a leak from one side due to a broken seal or something similar. After contacting the seller, I received a replacement press almost immediately. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find excellent customer service these days. I would recommend this product and SQUEEZE master to anyone looking for a high-quality fruit press with no hassle customer service.
I really like the press, but I mistakenly assumed I was getting the model with the steel plate instead of the wood. I chose the one with the steel plate for a reason. The other is what I got, and because we had the fruit picked to begin the day it arrived, we didn't have time to fix it. The wood plate split after approximately 50 gallons of cider.
It was able to withstand the pressure of pressing apple cider. If the legs had been longer, I would have given it five stars. To raise it high enough to fit a 5 gallon bucket under the spout, I had to make a unistrut base. br>br>By the way, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words For storage, place the press inside a 30 gallon trash can that has been turned upside down.
I completed four 5-kilometer runs. It worked perfectly when I ran gallon buckets of grapes through it. It was simple to collect the juice and to clean up all of the equipment. I'm eagerly awaiting the ripening of our apples so that we can begin making cider and apple wine!.
Very good setup, and I was pleased with the seller's response. I'm getting about 3/4 of what I'm supposed to be getting. When I fill the basket with crushed apples, I make a gallon of cider. It performs admirably. With a mesh bag, it comes completely assembled and ready to use. Don't be fooled by cheapo models with a single threaded bar in the middle. This device is made to withstand a lot of abuse.
This one appealed to me because it came pre-assembled and had good reviews. We used it to make apple cider, which was something I'd never done before. It was a great success, and the cider tasted great. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have the necessary muscles to turn the press, but I had plenty of assistance in taking turns.
Two apple trees and two pear trees can be found on our property. This press is the perfect size for processing and enjoying the damaged apples and pears. We also purchased a grinder to use in conjunction with the press, and the results are fantastic. Simply cut up the apples (removing any bad parts) and place the good chunks in the press until it is nearly full. This twist handle makes pressing a breeze, as does cleanup. From now on, we'll do this once a year.
