Product Description

This product contains a PT-100 RTD sensor + a water-tight moisture-resistant lock nut and silicone washers and a metal housing with 1/2" FPT threads (the battery is not included).

The power cord measures 12' 10 gauge, and has a combo dryer plug with prongs and an outlet with a 3 prong twist lock.

A 3 prong plug can be installed on a dryer. Instructions are included for the conversion

Up to a 5500 Watt element can be controlled, and GFCI breakers can be used

It is possible to use this unit to control the Boil temp as well as the Mash temp?

Mashing is the only application that can use this controller. For mash and boil, you should consider our BIAB controller. In BIAB controllers, both mash tuns and brew pots can be plugged at the same time so you can plug in your mash tun and brew pot

If a probe will be installed in a kettle, will you provide a no-weld washer, nut, and gasket? In the photo, I don't see that. ?

RIMS controller of this caliber is fantastic! The body is made of solid aluminum (not cheap plastic) and contains high quality components. I really like the quality of the workmanship, and the item is very functional overall. As well as this, I purchased the RIMS tube and it also met grade A standards and fitted together perfectly. It's pretty easy to get into the RIMS scene if you just get the two items and get started brewing. The products I have bought on Amazon in the past have left me anywhere from truly disappointed to livid because the product was not what it promised, or it was junk. The case isn't the same with this controller. I am telling you the truth. I think you will be very pleased to have this as part of your system. It is rare for me to comment on a product even when I am satisfied with it. Still, this deserves to be recognized. It's a pleasure to work with Tom, the owner. Assisted me with some difficult electrical connections I had due to the age of my house and some old outlets in it. It took him a long time to get things straightened out, but he worked with me until he did. I can honestly say that he went above and beyond what any Amazon vendor would or should do! Those hooking up to the dryer outlet should take a look at his extension cords as well. If you do this, you won't have to worry about getting power to your RIMS unit. You can also build your own if you are handy. To match the quality of this product would be difficult, and it is well worth the purchase price. You only need to buy Once tears should be shed.
