so much for your query. As part of the lids, a gasket and a grommet is We have assembled the airlock as well. But before you use it, I recommend that you take it apart and wash each piece separately. With the kit you receive simple instructions on how to properly assemble and use the airlock lids, as well as instructions on how to make the It won't take you long to figure out how to do it.
There is some kind of plastic involved. The way I see it, it is a combination of two things. The impression I got was not good.

For someone just beginning to ferment, this kit proves to be a great choice. My intention was to make small batches of Chinese rice wine and then try making fruit wine without having to invest heavily in equipment at first. The lids and airlocks arrived packaged very nicely in individual plastic bags inside a round cardboard storage cylinder with a lid - which was great! I thought it was a very good The airlocks work well, they press into the plastic wide-mouth jar lids through a hole with a grommet, which is nice. There is a silicon gasket under the lid as well, so it makes a good seal on wide-mouth Though this was an excellent product, I only gave it 3 stars because the plastic lid retained most of the jar's smell after washing, and that odor persisted after the lid was washed. I discovered that my first attempt making rice wine led to the lid picking up an alcohol odor despite not being in direct contact with the rice and liquid. The smell persisted after washing the lid with soap and There should not be such a permeable barrier to odors with lids typically used for this type of purpose. You might not be able to use it for a different food or drink in the future if it picks up too much of an odor. It is still a good value for the money the airlocks are standard and can be used in other configurations if you wish to stop using the wide-mouth lids on the mason jars. It would be a good place to start for someone getting started.
Until I make another batch of sauerkraut, I'm kind of neutral on this item. Other fermentation lids of another brand have worked 100% for me in the past In the past year, I have lost half a gallon of kraut (about quarter of what I used to do). This product did behave differently from the ones I previously used, but it's unlikely that is was the cause of the failure. A new batch of reviews is uploaded when I run another batch.
This fermentation lid would have saved me a lot of money and energy had I discovered it before buying anything else. A very high standard of quality is maintained When I use the Year of Plenty lids, I don't have to worry about fermenting fruits and vegetables. The cookies have always come out fresh and delicious every time. I do worry about losing the rubber seals while washing them, so be careful when you do that, but other than that, they've been great.
These have been with me for a few years now Sauerkraut is made from them every year when cabbage is in season. I can use this on my ball jars and it allows the fermentation process to take place. The kraut will be ready once I observe the progress and remove these. Replacing the cap with a normal one and capping the jar Keep refrigerated. mmmm, I think kraut might be good for me As supper, we had dogs.
There is no way I can make enough sauerkraut with the three I had left. had 3 and wanted to make more so I went with this seller who had the best price. I had 3 and I This seller provides great fermentation supplies in a nice tube, which makes storage a breeze! I will certainly purchase more fermenting supplies from this seller in the future!.
I was disappointed with my first review as I only received three lids in the package, this company responded by sending me another package with four lids, I was really happy and absolutely did not expect another package to arrive. I have used these products and I am quite satisfied with them. Having already made sauerkraut and kimchi, I can report that they worked well, the product was great. In the process of being made will be fermented onions, as well as a jar of Escabeche. I appreciate your support.
This seal is excellent. It has taken me a while to decide which lid set to purchase, but I cannot say I am disappointed with Seals are good, easy to see, and with the lid being clear, I am able to see any kahm yeast growing on top more easily. I really like the quality of these. My fermentation forum members would definitely benefit from this recommendation.
The package was nicely packaged and everything was intact. There was a recipe for Sauerkraut on the back of the paper as well. My rating of 4 stars is based on As this is the first airlock set I have ever bought for fermentation, I'm not sure how big the holes are supposed to be on top. If you get fruit flies, gnats, or any other tiny pest in your house, I strongly recommend that you add a cover to the airlock. Maybe a coffee filter rubber banded to the top so nothing gets in while your ferment is allowed to breathe.
