In this case, I'm not sure if the product is appropriate. In my case, I use it primarily for fruit brandies.
It's not possible for us to sell the lids individually.
There is nothing wrong with foam appearing. Please weigh cabbage and lightly press it down with a pounder from time to time if lots of foam forms. If you manage to prepare fewer vegetables, this will be helpful.
If you make larger batches of sour dough, then it might work. However, it depends on how large you make the batches. How much bread do you have? In the process of getting the starter to the point when you can use it in dough, you will waste a significant amount of starter.

There seems to be a high quality to the Product. Please do yourself a favor and fill your Crock with water after you have sat it for a while, just to make sure that there are no cracks. Rather than doing this, I made the mistake of not doing it. As I was filling it up with cabbage to make my sauerkraut, much of the juice leaked out on the bottom of the jar the next morning. It did not leak on the floor after I placed the Crock inside a large bowl. It had a Crack along the bottom edge and I had to return it for a replacement since it had a small crack.
In one of the fermentation weights, I found a small chip following the unpacking of my newly arrived crock. It is true that I tend to be a bit anachronistic about how products arrive. My expectations are that they will live up to their claims. The first thing I chose to do, as part of my own therapy, was not to say anything about it After my experience was asked about in an email a few days later, I knew I could not keep my silence. A few exchanges followed, nothing harsh, just questions to verify the status of the item in question. I was treated immediately with care way beyond my expectations, so much so that I purchased another bottle immediately. Even though I hadn't used the original crock, I still felt guilty about it. In my experience, both of these provide the best performance. As you will see with your purchase, this is without a doubt your best option. There are so many benefits to using this crock over Anchor Hocking glass containers. I don't deny that they work, but then you have to deal with There is no wrong choice, I currently have a few Anchor Hocking 2 gallon containers, but unhappily I'm going to continue investing in Kenley Fermentation Crocks going forward. It isn't likely that fermentation will disappear from my dining experience any time.
I received the crock with a defect in the bottom glazing, on the inside. I contacted the seller and he sent me a replacement right away. When the seller suggested that I just recycle the defective crock in light of the size and weight, I was so relieved. My new crock arrived on time and it was very easy to use and clean. There are instructions and recipes online that can help me start using it. (I am starting with pickling cucumbers). One of the reasons why I bought it is that the lid is idiot-proof. My family of 3 and friends will enjoy this comfortable recipe of the right size. This is a good value and would recommend it. The seller received an A+ rating.
It took me a while to order a 5 liter I was very pleased with the shipping speed We will send you a priority email on the This crock is light weight and does its job well. The weights are unglazed, but fit well with the crock to keep all fermenting food weighted down under brine. And the cabbage packer does its job without any issues. It looked like the crock would be way smaller than 5 liters, so I was going to return it. The replacement came from Amazon immediately, and it was the same size as the original, so I returned it. During a batch of kimchi making, I used this pot and it holds around 2 liters. The crock to the right is clearly marked "2 Ltr. " As you can see, it is clearly marked. My crock has been reduced from 5 liters to 2 liters despite having been paid for a 5 Because the weights smell like kimchi, I would avoid this product now that I have tried it. I probably can't return it now that I have used it.
After realizing that 4 cabbages was a great deal, we bought an additional one. Three heads of white cabbage and one head of red cabbage were used to make sauerkraut. This turned out to be a beautiful design. Our team decided that 4 cabbage heads were too many so next time we'll cook just 3 (and include the red cabbage as one of the three). During fermentation, we leave it for about 2 months, making sure the water trough stays full to prevent air from entering. Our next goal is to make pickles. This is such a great idea that we gave one to our daughter for her birthday. Your health is very likely to be improved by taking probiotics.
Throughout the pot, there is extensive crazing. There is a lot of salt leakage.
Having tried my first batch of sauerkraut, it turned out to be a success. Kenley jars are easy to keep clean, easy to pack with cabbage, and easy to wash after they have been used. In the beginning, I used two heads of cabbage and it looked like nothing was in the pot. The pot was still less than half full even after adding a third head of cabbage. In this case, I produced more sauerkraut than I will need. However, I am not sure whether the process will be enhanced if the pot is fuller. My preference may be to get a smaller version if I had to buy it again. Anyhow, this is an excellent.
I like the way my crock was packaged so that it will survive being thrown out of a moving truck! Customer service was very good as well. The fact that it was advertised as a pounder but I wasn't sure if I would receive one in the answers section concerned me. They responded that they were unsure if it would have it since they are a warehouse and not manufacturer, and offered a $10 discount (got it on sale already so about $40 for the crock total), and it came with the pounder - so, no complaint there. Congratulations on your two wins! As I type this, I am still waiting for my sauerkraut to finish before making my second batch of kimchi. I completely agree with the other reviews that this is a beautiful crock and well made as well.
