You can't live without it if you want to brew at home
5/5

In a nutshell With an Airlock, there isn't much that could possibly go wrong, but I'm happy with this set of airlocks. The price is also excellent, compared to what I would pay in a brewing supply store for the same product. There are a few things you might not be familiar with regarding Airlocks, such as the fact that they are used when brewing beer, wine or mead. You fill them half full with water so they sit half way across the bubbles and place them on top of the By installing an airlock on the production system, gases can escape from fermentation without being exposed to air or contaminants.

I've put together a quick video to show you how the system works. Please consider providing me with feedback, if you found this review useful to you. Let me know if you have any questions, I'm more than happy to assist.

An airlock that's great for home brewing and making great stocking stuffers
4/5

Throughout my life, I've always used the three-word answer I usually use single-piece airlocks for my home brewing, but I decided to try the twin-piece airlock In order to find out if I liked the bubble version more, I made one myself. The truth is that I have no idea. Due to the fact that you don't have to assemble the three pieces individually, this is an easier method to use. This container can be filled with vodka or santizer up to the "max" line, your cap will close, and then it is ready to use in Getting those two out of the way is easier than getting the three out of the way Piece models are easier to turn than others, but that's like saying one style of doorknob is easier to turn than another. My yeast starter turned bad after I used this on a recent starter at home. At first it worked fine, but eventually it started to go Once the airlock became contaminated, it could not be used. As a result of this model being harder to clean, I changed the three-phase model to a one-phase model In the case of a blowout, you have some piece variety The unit can't really be disassembled, so you can't really do anything with it. There is nothing you can really do to make it look clean and sanitary except run hot water and soap through it. It is made up of three parts Unlike multi-piece models, you can break them apart and clean them more thoroughly. These make great stocking stuffers for home brewers, since having extras on hand means you can throw one out if it breaks or gets too gunked up after a while. These are inexpensive and easy to find.

The fragility is too great
3/5

It's great in theory, but because the pieces are so delicate and made of thin, brittle plastic, they really should be handled with the gentlest of hands. The moment one cracks, the whole thing is There is no better option than a three-pronged strategy (Funnel-shaped) airlocks (that are robust and easy to keep This pair of twins There's nothing like a bubble airlock to keep.

The good news is I'm content
5/5

There is nothing to worry about with these airlocks. You could use a balloon with a pinhole to achieve similar results, but an airlock is just more professional and easier to use. It is also reusable and far less likely to clog. Observations / Tips When it comes to cleaning pipes, pipe cleaners come in handy. Additionally, there are these benefits Brings the look of a scientist's lab to your brewery.

Worked like a charm
4/5

I like the way these were packaged. If you have an overflow when making fruit wine and a few fruit bits stick in the airlock, they are not difficult to clean. We had to wait two days for the fruit to ripen. Luckily, they come in three pieces so I used one of the others while I was trying to clean the one with the fruit stuck inside.

In a nutshell My fermentation was vigorous, but after a week, very little evaporation of liquid occurred.

Their work is good, but they easily break
3/5

As soon as I removed one of the airlocks from the silicone gasket, it shattered like glass. As far as I know, this is the first time I've No harm was done to it by bending it or knocking There is a lot of hard plastic in this brand, but I have never experienced this After two years, the ones I received from Northern Brewer are still fine. As compared to these, they are more flexible.

Using these airlocks for fermentation of vegetables is a great idea
5/5

These are good priced airlocks that can be used to ferment veggies and make saurkraut. Working with them needs to be done carefully since they are thin. At the point where the airlock fits into the lid's grommet, my husband filed the manufacturing edge down. My fermentation process involves a lot of airlocks, so these are a great substitute for those that have served their purpose.
