It's great that each airlock comes with a box and its own packaging. Prior to purchasing from you, I ordered some from another vendor who delivered them in bubble mailers and one was cracked. I've found these to be incredibly useful. To grow microorganisms for the garden and orchard, I have been using them in a 1 gallon glass jug. They work great. Just be careful when inserting the plastic plug into the bung hole as they can break if too much pressure is applied. As of yet, it has not happened to me. Adding a little water to the reservoir and replacing the cap is all that is necessary. I suspect they could possibly last much longer without refilling the reservoir since they went 45 days without needing to be filled. There are a series of small holes around the perimeter of the cap that allow gas to escape, but limit evaporation. It is a nice to have this 3 piece set of rubber bung stoppers. Make sure you buy stoppers that are the right size for the container you are using.
I was told by a friend that I could fill these with alcohol to make them more effective. It might be better to make use of water, but I have no problem making use of tap water.
