I am glad I spent this money
5/5

A solid product. This kettle is everything I expected it to be, and even more so. It feels like it is made from rock This pot is solid and all its elements, including the accessories that came along with it (ball valve and thermometer), are of superior quality. Pots like this are meant to last a lifetime, so it felt like a good investment over the long run. I am delighted with my purchase after running my first batch with it yesterday. It passed all my quality tests, and I will continue to use it. One of the reviews for a MegaPot with valves and fittings mentioned that there was a leak. The nuts need to be tightened up to the right tension, and everything should not leak if everything is properly seated, using thread tape. A little online researching will reveal many videos and instructions you can use to fix leaks. As far as I've known, I've always been a 5 star We'll see how well that turns out. I used to be a gallon batch homebrewer, but I got tired of doing so much work for so little With this new system, I will be able to double and triple my output with approximately the same amount of effort. With the bigger valve on the pot, I'm able to use a longer hose than the 3/8" lines I had before. In fact, the kettle was ready to use literally seconds after I removed the lid, installed the valve, and inserted the thermometer. I'll be adding a false bottom and possibly a bazooka pipe soon. A rock is something you should look for if you are looking for a rock Ensure your product will last for a lifetime with the solid product you've been looking for. You can't go wrong with this baby.

What a great idea! I have updated There is definitely a need to make the number of gallons more visible
5/5

A GALLON GUIDE ON THE SIDE OF THE POT IS very difficult to see when steam is not present and a continuous wave of boiling water is not rolling. The pot I have purchased is wonderful I am very pleased with it While it is more expensive than some of the others, I think it is worth the money. Stainless steel bottom and heavy duty stainless steel handle help distribute heat evenly and I was able to boil water at a very good rate. It is easy for me to boil 7 gallons plus plenty of room for boiling up I believe you could handle an 11 gallon boil. During the boiling process and when the steam is being released, the calibration marks inside the pot are very hard to see when the pot is boiling. I wish that they were larger and would be visible on the exterior of the pot. It allows you to drain the whole pot of liquid with the siphon downspout for draining. In my class, I learned about the benefits of whirlpooling which was perfect for this pot to remove the wort and leave behind the spent hops. As long as you keep an eye out for hot spots and stir well, you can make great beer with the less expensive pots. As long as your budget allows for the difference, it could be an excellent pot of money to invest.

It is packaged very well The product must be assembled The fitting is only mediocre
4/5

As far as the kettle goes, it's awesome. Installation of the ball valve and dip tube assembly must be performed by the user. In addition to the O-ring, there is no other bearing surface for the dip tube to rotate upon It contains a seal that keeps the kettle sealed to the outside. If you want it to work, you must keep tweaking the fittings on the kettle until they are snug enough. It's a little easier to do with silicone lube, but I'm constantly paranoid I'll spill the wort out if I rotate the dip tube, as it's just too easy for the included O-ring to bend and leak. Between the pot and the ball valve should be a ring to hold things together. Either the O-shape needs to be different or the geometry needs to be changed The ring needs to be replaced or the computer needs to be reinstalled Take a moment to think about.

There is a ball valve on this 8 gallon tank
5/5

I am happy with how things are going so far. My first two extract kits have brewed a total of five gallons. We upgraded from a smaller non-compliant system to a larger one It is overall so much better to use a brew pot. The 5gal batch size is plenty and there's really no risk of boil-overs if properly sized. It's easy to clean, and the construction seems to be sturdy. It's not hard to assemble the ball valve, but it's only a matter of tightening it by hand. If you tighten it up too much it will leak. Leaving out the temp gauge is a good idea, because it would be just one more place for leaks My brew kettle is now an integral part of my brewing process. It will be hard to convey sludge out of the primary after removing the ball valve, and time will tell if it was worth it. I would have said yes, if I had been on the fence. If it were up to me, I'd take.

I use this pot with my Avantco induction plate and it works great
5/5

I use this pot with my Avantco induction plate and it works great. With its thick clad bottom, the heat is distributed 5 can use it because it is just the right size. A five gallon batch of brew in a bag is mashed and boiled. You've got plenty of extra room to prevent a boilover.

By design, this is beautiful! It is sturdy and suited to its purpose
5/5

In a nutshell, Greetings all, I may as well start off my review by saying that I am absolutely blown away by It must be said, however, that I intend to use this product for a purpose other than that intended by the manufacturer. A pot like this was purchased for shipment abroad in April 2018. I had to arrange for forwarding abroad through a different carrier after the pot was shipped (I paid quite a bit for shipping outside the US, but it was actually with them). My eagerness was rewarded, as I received both the pot and a Matfer stock pot I had also bought The Matfer stock pots with faucets were just two of the things I intended to buy. I came upon the Megapot during my search and decided to purchase one of each as a result. Despite the Mega pot's use (which was intended for a different purpose), it proved to be much stronger than the A mega pot is also worth a lot more money than a mini pot. The Matfer is actually much smaller than the MegaPot, for which I paid more. In retrospect, now that I have received the packages, I wish I had received two MegaPots instead. In the near future, I will place an order for more. Knowing you are intrigued about the use of the mega pot, let me tell you how I plan to use it. In this case, I intend to create artisan hot sauces with the hot pot. My main reason for wanting a pot with a faucet was because I'll be able to fill my bottles much more easily. It is my goal to build a small sauce factory abroad and we will use both manual and automatic methods in the production process. As far as filling the bottles is concerned, we can just use the tap. bought an adapter kit to connect a faucet to the valve compartment so I could fill the bottles more easily. In any case, I'll post an update as soon as we start cooking in As for how it holds up, I will let you know. Thank you @NorthernBrewer for your great work.

I think this was an issue with quality control during production since the box is fine other than the big dent on the bottom. However, other than that seems to be very sturdy and seems to be reasonably priced. I will send this back and hope the new one won't be.
