It seems that I've been lacking a baking steel for quite some time, and as a child I remember seeing them in the kitchen of bakers/cooks I admired, but I want to emphasize the importance and necessity of them to reach your full potential in cooking. The best I have ever seen. A true game changer when it comes to home pizza making practices. The crust is nice and crispy, and the pizza comes out with a fully cooked underside. Pizza can be cooked in 7 minutes when the steel is preheated to 550F. I made a pizza that was as good as what I found in a pizza shop. that I don't have to buy pizza pans and screens, I can get rid of them all.

A stone oven would not be as effective as this

The two pizza stones I had before this one are no longer in operation. It's easier to clean, and I have no worries about it breaking in the oven. I get leopard spotting that I can't get from a normal stone. Would have preferred the larger size if I had chosen this stone.

The pizza I made was awesome. Preheating the steel in the oven at 500 degrees for about an hour before putting the pizza on it is my usual method. Crunches up nicely and gets the crust The crust almost looks as if it came from It took about 7 or 8 minutes for the pizza to be ready.

The edges of this cookware are sharp and unrefined

Be careful. Despite the fact that I think it cooks pizza great, it looks like it was just cut with a machine and the edges weren't finished off so it's quite sharp and can easily cut my fingers and it looks unfinished like something I could have just made without thought.
