They are the best curtains I've ever seen. In order to prevent the light from shining in, I was looking for something opaque. Since I work weird hours, and I am super sensitive to lights in my room while I am trying to sleep, I have a hard time sleeping. Although the curtains are fantastic, my room was so dark that I slept for over 12 hours accidentally because they are so dark.
The dark effect they produce in my room is good, as I like my room to be dark I don't mind some light coming in when it's bright outside, but it gets dark at night. It's great to have them around! This size 52x63 is what I ordered.

Winter is overcast in my room, but they keep the room warm. During the blackout, the light was turned off. The curtains have helped me save on energy and electricity. I love how well they fit my window. In my room, I used one panel, and in my daughter's room, I used the other panel. Buying one set was all that was needed. That's right, some coins were saved!.
I wasn't sure what we would find when we purchased these curtains at a reasonable price. It seems like these things block a lot of light. It is impossible for them to block what they are not Neither a curtain nor a blind can accomplish this. It still looked like night in the bedroom after it had gotten light, which was what we were trying to achieve. However, of more significance was the fact that the neighbor's annoying nighttime exterior lights were able to be conquered and were no longer visible. This is a relatively light material for such a sturdy curtain, however, and they're attractive to look at, but the purpose of these curtains is to make your room so dark that you can't see, which is why I give them five out of five.
