Four of them have been tested by me These shades are from a company that offers five different brands. On first glance, they appear to be the best. The top and bottom bars are solid I found the blackout shades easy to install, and they do their job very well. However, I wonder. The weight of the bar at the bottom of the brackets pulled the shade down to cover a majority of the window after the brackets were installed and the shade clipped in. It seemed like it would be better to just return it for the same reason. This shade went down about 14 inches after being clipped in. In order to push it back up I had to push it against the weight of the bottom bar and it expanded. In my experience, this one settled about 5 inches deeper than the previous one. While the shades are of good quality, the tension is WAY too tight. These shades are worthless in the real world. Perhaps I would be better off just covering the top half of the windows with insulation rather than using.

As I did not want to spend so much money, I searched Amazon and these came up. While the reviews were positive, I was skeptical due to the price. I called customer service to ask about the measurements and they were excellent, so I decided to give them a go. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person! Blinds made from solid material, not cheap plastic, are not only beautiful, but very well constructed, as well as being well made. As a result of ordering the blackout blinds, the room is now pitch black These curtains add a touch of style and can help block out drafts and keep you warm. This is so much better than paying $700 and I am so glad we chose this! This book is highly recommended!.

There is one thing I am not happy with about these shades, but they look good and seem of good quality. Using the brackets to hang them, you may have to replace springs that fall out when you tighten them. There are so many times when one of those little springs has fallen out while I was installing that I can't even count. A bracket that had a spring missing was actually installed because one had fallen out and I was unable to find it (we eventually found it, but I will keep it for future reference in case it turns out that the shade will not stay up). As a professional installer, I have installed many shades similar to this one, and every time I have installed them, I have never seen brackets where parts could fall out. A lot of frustration resulted from it. Therefore, these shades appear to be good quality, have good light blocking ability, and the company was really good at making sure you received the correct size for your window and that they were able to perfectly fit your window. I'm happy with them overall, but I'm really annoyed with how hard it is to install the brackets because the springs are so loose. ** Update** They have been up for a few weeks now and seem to be functioning well, even though one of the brackets has a missing spring.

It is pass. My first complaint is that I ordered 3 of these and they sent me inside versions instead of outside versions, despite me providing the width measurements correctly. We were not interested in the return process due to the time it would take to ship and the hassle to return it, and we set it up as it is, which does not work. Additionally, the shades do not fully retract into the frame. It's annoying to be constantly annoyed by them because the tops sag several inches, so if you're like me and dislike interruptions of sunlight, you'll regret it. As well as basic installation instructions worth no more than a couple of minutes.
