Plating steel makes it so that if they are in an environment with high humidity they will rust. In a shower, the clear acrylic clip rings would work fine, but plated steel clips are also likely to rust. It is my hope that you found that

I really like them. Heavy and slid nicely on the rod, these curtains make a great addition to any room.
If you pull with even a moderate amount of force, they will not stay on your curtains. The mode collection comes with a rod like that, which is great if you have an extension rod. These rod accessories will be great for windows you never use. Installed on an inactive window, it will give the rod a timeless appeal. You may want to consider something more durable if you intend to use them often.
I am not sure if the curtains will look better once they are out.
A drapery ring needed to be made of acrylic. By removing the clips and using a pin on hook (drapery hook), we looped the ends through I got exactly what I was looking for.
The clips can come off the rings if you deal with them enough, but overall, they look good at a decent price. Having a gold brushed finish gives us a warm feeling.
I like how you look. I like the color of the brushed gold, which is more of a flat gold.
