Mine was bitten through by a mouse in one night. Rats and mice are not fond of it.
It's made of a hard rubber compound, so it's not a good idea. Paint wouldn't stick to the wall very well.

My front door does not touch the floor because I am renting an apartment. There was a one-inch gap, which was inconvenient because it allowed light, noise, and bugs in. br>br>I've had almost no pbugs, no light, and a lot less sound since I installed this! This is fantastic. The soundproofing is especially impressive because my bedroom is close to the front door, and I used to hate hearing my neighbors' conversations in the stairwell. It isn't completely noise-cancelling, but it is significantly improved. br>br>In my entryway, I have it set up so that it meets the doorstop and clears the rug. It was simple to set up - br>br> I simply cut it down to size with scissors, then wiped the area clean, waited for it to dry, and stuck it on. It almost blends in with the door's color, making it almost invisible. I'm very pleased with this product!br>br>I've had it on for a little over a month and have had no problems with it; it's stayed put. This product is highly recommended, especially if you're a renter who doesn't want to drill into doors (other solutions I found online required drilling into the door).

I hope this review is useful to someone who, like me, has had a problem with a stubborn cat! Because our cats don't get along, we need to separate them. Our boy is on the outside of the master bedroom, while our girl is inside. Our problem is that our dog will always try to get in by sticking his paw under the door. Because of the rubbing, he developed a bad sore/wound on his lower leg near his paw. We tried a few things to close the gap, but the door draft stopper worked perfectly, and he blew through everything else. Also, if he meows properly installed, you will barely hear him!.

Double- win. br>br>How to use: br>1) Line it up with your closed door, with the bottom just touching the floor (barely). br>2) Gently tap the adhesive to adhere it, but don't press it down until you're satisfied with your placement. br>3) Now test how much your door scrapes the ground by opening and closing it. You don't want to have trouble opening your door because the floor is uneven. br>4) Once you're satisfied that the stripe will provide a good seal/blocker, apply the adhesive and you're done! br>br>The sticky back is the only reason for my one-star rating. If you don't do it correctly, the paint on your door will be ripped off, and you won't be able to use the sticky back again. My product recommendation is to use a more flexible adhesive that can be readjusted. br>br>If you're looking for a sound reducer or a draft stopper, this product might be right for you. It is highly recommended.
This weatherproof underfoot strip is easy to install and can be used to keep things out or in. In my case, I got it for my main door exit to the hall way because I live in an apartment with trash shoots, which attracts cockroaches during the summer, and I see them running around the hall all the time. br>With this self-install strip, everything will be kept out. Cleaning, taping, and cutting are all things that should be done before cutting. That's how easy it is.
I'm so disappointed because the product did an excellent job of noise cancellation when it arrived and was installed. Unfortunately, after only one day of use, it simply ripped off, ripping the paint off my door with it. Before applying it to the door, I even wiped it clean and dried it, as the instructions recommended. What a letdown.
