It is a fake These black leather covers serve as a replacement for fabric slipcovers and leather covers sold by IKEA that were previously black but are no longer available because of their discontinued status. With the chairs, a foam cushion is included with the cover If you don't have an original cushion with the foam insert, you can only get the black leather slip cover by either buying one of the other colors sold by IKEA and swapping the slip cover or going to a fabric store and buying foam that you can cut down to size. The fabric covers of the chair cushions wore out and faded over time, so I was grateful to find these slip covers in black leather as a replacement. I also saved the interior foam padding for future use and reuse, too.
