If they are a bit smaller, that's not a big deal. Regardless of the wick size, it will likely work since you want it to move freely. My thread is 3/4" and I have about a 1/16th on each side and it burns fine. I am not sure if the thread color is significant. All that said, I would not recommend these for a regular lamp with a flat wick. It is a collapsed tube style that does not These lampshades are intended for use with lamps that have round wicks.
Wolfard oil lamp appears to be able to go on for a while. It would be better to use the Ner Mitzvah cotton wicks for the bath.

I had to swap out a few of the wicks when preparing my lamps for winter use. As I only had one inch wide on hand, I needed 3/4" for some lamps, and locally, I couldn't find anything smaller. This is exactly what I was looking for, and love that they are long and can be cut to length as needed. Your help is much appreciated! The text has been revised 1/28/19. You've got to try them! I purchased them again because they burn evenly and they don't need tying as often as the old ones did.
While a tube might seem a bit disadvantageous when used in lamps, I'm not sure I see the big downside to using them. Two dollars. Compared to one thick candle 8 inches long that costs the same or more for the same length, 50 marks is the price for 6 feet. The cloth I purchased was for making char cloth. I strongly recommend that you go with this wicking if you are at this site looking for wicking to make char cloth. I'd say $5 is not too much. I have been charring everything and I am impressed with my results. The cotton, the jute, and everything else you can think of There was more than one hemp item around the house, including rope, twine, washcloths, and even the belt loops and hems of an entire pair of jeans, in addition to Char has never been as good as it is with these wicks. They burn hot and for a long time. They are tough, thick, and easy to light. A roll of 20 strips of 2 7/8" thick charcoal cloth provided me with three rolls after three rolls of char cloth. A set of 5 inch strips (from an Altoids tin) boiled In addition, half a strip is more than enough for a fire to begin. I will definitely include my fire kits in my kit. This item has my approval as being Pyrotechnic Idiot Approved.
Having taken out all my old wicks and replacing them with these was a good idea. I replaced the oil, trimmed it, and let it soak for a while before lighting. The flame is nice. I find it to be reliable.
Due to the incomplete firing of the wick, it will not pull fuel, which will result in the fire going We purchased the wick so that in case our electricity went out, there would still be light in our home. A wick is supposed to function correctly, but it doesn't. If these customer reviews are fake then they must have gotten a better product than I did. I am not sure why this product has so many positive reviews.
It occurred to me that there were not enough wicks to go around, so I ordered more. Finding this product online that's similar to what was in the lamp was very pleasing to me. Since I have not used the lamp since receiving this, but since it is exactly like what is in the lamp, I anticipate that it will work well!.
I decided to refresh them by adding new wicking to them. They light up well, do not smoke, and keep.
Since it is an old lamp, I was not certain where I could find wicks for it. It was pleasant to discover that they are reasonably priced and easy to obtain. Hopefully, this will prolong the life of our old lamp!.
When an emergency arises, it's good to know that Amper products are available. When there is no power, own multiple oil lamps as a backup. I was pleased to find that wick was included in the It was $2 for wicks to be purchased individually. Pieces measuring 6 inches are priced at $2. 00 each. As a result, I can now service all of my lamps without breaking the bank. . . . and lamps are ALWAYS prepared despite the fact that existing lamps' 6inch wicks are fast burning.
