I am purchasing my third one of these devices. Two other photographs have held up really well, but have been lost or damaged in past Our first one still plays music like it's brand new, lol. The bottom part of it is still there (more than 11 years old). During our babies' first few months, our black and white patterns were the most exciting to them. I love the blue light for illuminating the animals in the night time, and all of the kids love the background music and find it nostalgic every time I turn it on. The pad installs quite quickly and stays put very well on the crib. The battery life is excellent (we've been using ours regularly for three months and the battery never goes dead). There's one thing I wish was a little quieter about the loudest setting, but it's not altogether deafening. This is a highly recommended product!.

An annoying clicking sound can be heard very clearly. By cutting a long piece of felt from the top of the mobile, then cutting it into smaller pieces and matching the curve of the small green spiral, I prevented this from happening. This is one piece that is grooved. It took only a small dab of super glue to hold each felt in place, and now the clicking sound has greatly diminished. There is no reason for anybody to need to make such modifications to their $45 mobile after spending that much money on it. The manufacturer needs to redesign this phone to eliminate the click that.

The crib is where he doesn't sleep yet, so I installed it there. This is the perfect gift for him. It's easy to leave him in the bathroom while I get some things done around the house and he is usually completely entertained for as long as I need him to be. His actions are so adorable and it's fun to see him engaged in what he's doing! Honestly, I did not give it a full 5 stars because, first of all, it would be nice if it would put my son to sleep, but the shapes slide down the arms and create a loud noise as it turn. Sure, it keeps my son entertained, but my son is also a light sleeper, so I was looking for an activity that would help him fall asleep. There is a music overlay on the nature setting as well. If it were possible to have a setting for JUST nature sounds, I would like that. Additionally, it only runs for 23 minutes each time, so I need to set it back after each session (since it does not get An option to allow it to run for 45 minutes would be nice. In general, I'm glad he likes it so much, and it is nice to have something so entertaining for him to occupy himself for a little while.

I'm sorry I bought a mobile like this so late. Despite the fact that I bought and installed it when he was 4 months old, he is in love with It turns and he kicks in excitement and just steps up. It seems others are complaining about the machine making noise, but the only other noise I hear (aside from the music) is the rings moving, My mind is not bothered by The part where my baby focuses on that part especially drew my attention. Right before he falls asleep for bed time, I place him in his crib with this on. He plays for about 20 minutes then falls asleep. Due to this, I believe he is sleeping better at night! My recommendation would be to definitely give it a try.

In the past, I had this same type of mobile (almost exactly the same) with my first two children, but donated it as I thought I'd done with it. I knew I had to buy this again when surprise baby #3 arrived six years later. I had looked at other mobiles, even ones that matched the bedding, but remembered how much my other two girls loved it laying in bed and knew I had to have it. During her first year of life, my first (now 8 years old) daughter would fall asleep listening to the clicking sound made by the plastic pieces. While my new (11 week old) daughter does not fall asleep to it yet, it entertains her for a time. She kicks and coos at it and smiles at it with a smile.
