When I first tried the product, I was very happy with it. this night the part that was already tightened (and it was tightened very well indeed) slipped down the railing and it fell. The bottom arm does not mount to the top ball arm where the angle begins! The problem is that something That hole is actually WAY too large, there isn't even a place to thread into it for the lower arm, only a large bore.

There are no instructions for assembling it. In the video on the product page, the bolt appears to be attached to the wrong side. We were not able to tighten it due to this, so it was returned to us.

Using this mobile arm for our Pottery Barn Larkin crib was a great choice! Because the sides of the crib are slanted, we needed an arm with a strong enough grip to float freely between them (rather than clip to them or rest on them). I was very pleased with how it worked. Assembly was quick and easy and the finished product looks great. angle of the arm is fixed, but once it's positioned on the crib, you can move it side to side. My first impression is that it is solid Our baby was able to get into the crib pretty easily, and we snugged it on pretty tightly. This crib liner is felt-lined and will not damage the crib. I like this! It's not like other reviewers - we don't encounter the issues they do. I am not sure it would hold up if it was a heavier mobile. This is a lightweight device. I could see it snapping with a much heavier one.

Aside from the fact that it was easy to put together, it is sturdy and holds mobiles well. The only, and kind of big issue, is that it is very difficult to position properly. There is no pivoting or rotating of the mobile arm It must not move once it is screwed into place, or else it will loosen. There is a lot I like about this design, I just wish it were easier to position the arm in the direction I want it without having to unscrew everything first to make sure it's oriented correctly.
