Then and now I thought that maybe people were being just music snobs and exaggerating the music, but the reviews are right. Not at all. The part that turns has become what I call "creepy clown music" with my 6 year old so I'll just hang it out of reach from a hook for decoration so that it is not in his reach.
The edge of the crib hangs much too low. It is not possible to place a baby directly under the mattress when the top setting is selected. Adding a higher attachment to it would be helpful. *Also, 2. Turning inward causes the elephants to move backward. I mean it. The design flaws make up for the fact that it's super cute, which makes up for the terrible design flaws. I used fabric glue to fold over the ribbons because it drove me crazy.

Now it looks amazing! It's true that the elephants spin backwards when you wind it, but that's easily fixed with a dab of hot glue as stated by some of the other reviews. It's unfortunate they let a product with such an obvious design flaw make its way onto consumers' minds- The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because of that In truth, it makes me concerned about the future of the mobile device.
The crib is too small to fit it. Mounting this is not the best design, it is so bulky and unadjustable that it seems you can only use it with the old 4 sided cribs. In order for the mounting to be universal, it needs to be adjustable. We just now got the crib and because someone got it for me in January, I am unable to money don't let it go to waste.
Assembling this product is very easy. It is true that the elephants spin the wrong way, just as they do in other reviews. You will not need much more than fabric glue or hot glue but you should be aware. That is so cute, and it fits perfectly on my Delta farmhouse crib.
As I mentioned in the review, I just received this item, it was pretty easy to set up, it looks nice, but the music box does not work. I gave it 2 stars for that reason. Despite my best efforts to wind the box, the "key" seems to get free and spin away. I will update my review if I receive communication from someone who replaces the music box. I have updated The response has not been received after 4 weeks so I give this a one-star rating. In order to make my mobile spin, I had to buy my own music box.
The music does stop so quickly, however, I love the beat. He needs it cranked up constantly so I'm going back for a rewind every couple of minutes. I would like to see a timer or something to make the product more useful. Thus, I will be looking to purchase a device similar to this but.
