Is it possible for a dog to open it? That shouldn't be an issue, you have to slide your hand across the top of it to open it. The answer to this really isn't clear to me. The bathroom has a lot of space but I like it. There is no need to worry about it being too big, because it will fit in a small space.
In fact, you swipe your hand across the sensor to interact with it.
You can easily open it but it doesn't really open when you walk past it. Whenever you are close to it, you should try to pass your hand (or your feet) over it. I sometimes use it when I'm cleaning and it automatically opens when I sense my elbow or arm nearby.
The model that I got was the one with the wall plug ( cord was an additional buy).

I don't want to spend my I advise you not to purchase this product. It is mentioned that the company offers a warranty on the touchless sensor trashcan and guarantees your satisfaction. The lid started opening half way and then just stopping after two months. I bought the can because of its touchless opening. Any liquid that spills in the trashcan will end up on the floor because the trashcan has holes in the bottom. So, you can imagine my disappointment and upheaval when I found out that I had used this bin for compost with a bag inside. I bought a step trash can from the same company to replace the trash can that had not worked for me for the reasons outlined above. In any case, iTouchless states I am not eligible for a refund because the return period has ended. Likewise, the company won't take back the piece of trash receptacle, because I guess it's as worthless to them as it is to me. Beware of buying from a shady source.
I have been searching for something like this for a long time. This bag is easy to change out and is large enough to hold a lot. It is a good idea to keep an eye out for the charcoal filters on both sides of the lid, as they detach very easily and as I didn't know this they ended up in the garbage. Due to its absence of lid, it is convenient and you only have to wipe and disinfect the outer rim to keep it clean and there are holes in the bottom that allow for drainage and circulation when washing it. The material has not dented easily around kids and it holds up well even with How much more would I have to pay if I bought this trash can again? Most likely not, since the charcoal filters came apart so easily and were accidentally thrown away, which is bad.

I have now purchased three items in the last year. It is very easy and simple to use the automatic sensor. In my home, I use this item for the disposal of pet mats and it completely blocks the odor by acting as an odor blocker. The layout of the program is fantastic and the user interface is easy to use.
