There is no way to turn off the light- My best effort has not been successful. I put a dark, flat river rock over the light, and it blocks the light without interfering with water flow. It is bright and makes it hard for me to sleep.
Grey tends to dominate the color spectrum in a room depending on the light. Some blue appears as a result of bright light. I would rate myself as average Grey with black rings around the top of each level, this office looks light.
You always had to unplug it so it would go off, but if it had too much water in it, then a huge mess would occur. I also kind of remember where you could control the speed of the water flow, there might be a switch. That waterfall ended up breaking a long time ago and I can't remember what happened. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by the water splashes on the table, but the pump speed can be adjusted so it will not do so.

It came without rocks, so I used the ones from my old fountain for this. It's a great value for the price. The LED bulb is white, it's extremely well built, the pump noise is non-existent, the water flow is great, and the sound is very pleasant as opposed to some fountains that sound like they are dripping.
